Joe the goose

Nothing I have seen tonight makes me diverge from my long held opinion that he, Joe Daniher, is THE dumbest player ever to play AFL VFL.

Does BT deliberately call players by the wrong name? I’m assuming they give him binoculars in the box

Binoculars or kaleidoscopes?

[censored] I’m bent right now.

Probably not - that would imply deliberation which is quite a sophisticated human  brain function.

Brisbane are debuting Jaspa Fletcher tonight. Yep, Jaspa. JASPA. What is wrong with some people?

Not sure we have a leg to stand on with Kobe, Kynan, Kalani and Taj father sons

Apparently you can now text into the registry of births, deaths and marriages. His brothers are called JDN and N8.

What a hard watch this game is.

Lions have taken control. Swans need to stem the bleeding quickly otherwise this game is over.

Footy and cricket a non event this evening.

BT is only now just learning about the goal celebration songs during Brisbane home games. Surely he’s commentated Brisbane matches this season before tonight?

Also, Richo just suggested that Joe Daniher chose the song “Frozen” because of his child. My theory is that they’re told to choose a song that’s well-known. Joe actually has great taste in music but it’s mostly not mainstream and therefore not widely known. I reckon he chose frozen for a bit of a laugh.

Now, back to watching the ga…zzzzzzzz 😴

The Ashes?

Think it’s a good game so far. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You must be stoned if you think the cricket is a good.

I don’t know how to watch the cricket. I have Kayo but they’re not broadcasting it. And it’s not on one of the channel 7 suite.

That “high” free to Daniher is exactly the anomaly that I have been harping on about for ages.

He went into the contest head first.  Risked not only concussion but also a broken neck.  This really needs to be addressed and be penalized.

Try the channel 9 suite.

It’s on 9, or 9HD (90)

I thought channel 9 no longer had the cricket. 🤔

edit: channel 7 got the rights in 2017. I remember this because I won the last ever classic catches in 2016. Yep, a year’s worth of KFC 😋

Sydney, 2022 Grand Finalists, look absolutely cooked.   I must say I don’t follow them enough - what is their age demographic? Other than with AFL HQ draft support, and COLA, are they on the skids medium term?

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
