Jason Taylor was a big Humphrey fan, good to know heโ€™s still got an eye for it.ย

After the early morning post match review, straight to the pool room to watch Humphery at 9:30.

They are a very good side wait till you see what happens to us on KB.

Yeah I know.

The two games last year against the Pies confirmed that we canโ€™t go the distance with Collingwoodโ€™s manic and fast paced football.

ย

Port are now becoming trust worthy.

In prior years this would be the sort of game theyโ€™d drop on the road as favourites.

Anyone see then as a flag chance?

We play Alice, we wonโ€™t get the Darwin game.ย

why not... the Darwin game is an away game and will be rotated through the smaller Melbourne clubs of which we are one

We lost to Sydney twice last year which many said โ€œconfirmedโ€ we couldnโ€™t go with them.ย

I hope the club hasnโ€™t written our chances off like you have.

This question shouldnโ€™t need to be asked.ย

They are 100% a flag chance. Right now they have claims to being the best side in the comp. They have already shown that, no matter what happens today.

Because both games are played around the same time of year, and we canโ€™t and wonโ€™t be made to travel to the NT twice in as many weeks. It just wonโ€™t happen.

No.

Expected a lot more from The Tiger today. Hardwick would be gutted "watching from home" by the lack of response so far.

Bit tough they are only a goal down.

so yr saying there's a chance...

terrible decision to give the free for that head high. luckily Port missed but jeez the umpiring is so poor across the comp

tiges get within 2 points then a couple of very dubious frees to port

does that goal umpire ever back himself to make the call. another pointless review

How good is umpiringโ€ฆ. Said no one ever

Footy is becoming unwatchable. Need to go back to three Umps with the fourth watching from the stand. The AFL need to do something about it but wont.

How frustrating is it to see port miss these goals. Couldn't happen last week could it. No of course they take there opportunities against usย

They missed heaps in the first half. It was the only reason we were still in the contest at half time.ย

Why have umpires stopped paying pushes in the back in marking contests?

Bit of a shame with Port but what can you do.

Theyโ€™re looking very good.ย

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Letโ€™s be honest, last weekโ€™s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper โ€” second versus seventeenth โ€” football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrowโ€™s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the teamโ€™s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at seasonโ€™s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
