Just went to the Romsey Market to get a coffee and on impulse ( cold day etc) purchased 2 jam doughnuts.

Upon return to The Manor, I discovered that neither "jam" doughnut contained any jam!!!!

I hope that's not some sort of portent for bad luck today!

Biggest shock here is that you only bought two!

Or did you mean two dozen?

I'll be watching the match at The Sporting Globe in Richmond. Anyone else going there?

I’ll definitely see you there for our Alice game, Bingers! 💕

And Farmer only got back on cos someone got injured otherwise he was gonna sit the rest of the game on the pine.

Ben Beams broke his arm near half time.

Wiz kicked 9 in 40 mins. I was there with 2 cw supporters!

Looking forward to the Casey game today although I am tempted to flick on the battle of our ex forwards at 2:10 for Weid VS Hogan today.

Read this and thought Hello! Here’s something I can weigh in on 😂

I'm hoping @Redleg will act on my behalf - pro bono  of course.

Funniest post I have ever seen on DL.

Are you not pro Bono, @Redleg?  How do you feel about the other members of U2?

Reckon there will be a lot of story sniffing Media around today just to pick up on us/them doing something/ anything to give them a story of the Easter. Things like players gambling, Getting reported, by some vicious intent, or an upset decision.

Game to get over and done with as soon as possible without injuries. Don't trust maggots or Media.

I'm really looking forward to the mobile forward line we've got going on this afternoon.

Pickett, Fritsch, Roo, McDonald, Petty, Chandler. The ball should get in there and have a very hard time coming out - and when it does Lever and May will gobble up the high ball and send it straight back in there.

I guess 'boo stadium' will be out in full force today.  They were complaining about the umpires in their 'game day' thread.

Hopefully some of the WA fans we picked up in 2021 come out and cheer for us.

Welcome back Kozzie!!

"Rooo" " Boo" how would you know?

Why do I have MFCSS when we are playing the Magaret River 3rds.

I expect JVR to go big in front of his family and friends! Kick a bag Rooooo!!

@Demonland can relate to this 😈

Of course, a win is mandatory, but this is a perfect opportunity for us to win big, and bank some valuable percentage.  I’ll be disappointed with anything less than an 8 goal win, but I’m expecting Easter joy!

Not just that

..it's so sweet beating the Eagles and their crazy supporters.

Can't stand their incessant booing.

Booooooo

5:20 is far too long to wait for a game of afternoon footy.

At least with night games you're mentally prepared to do other things in the day.

I'm getting my MFCSS surgically removed this week I swear.

Don’t bother, Layz. It’ll only grow back again.

Quite a few misguided weagle supporters heading thru on the train. Not as many as normal tho.

Still worth it for a couple of weeks in heaven!

Nah I'm feeling good about today, confident we'll win comfortably.

  • GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
