Pickett an automatic inclusion, but I can’t find anyone to drop today.  Chandler was excellent.

Chandler is a 🔐

A massive win with 2 top tenners out of the side today Gawn and Pickett, massive flex on the comp.

Grundy BOG by a country mile.

Don't agree. Influential in third but not bog.

Kade chandler starts every week. So does JVR.
Rivers has arrived.

Great to see Rivers getting some props.

May did well for first game after injury.

That’s a super win, probably our best since the Grand final. Playing a bogey side, very good side and well coached side to win back momentum and win easily was fantastic stuff.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Clarry Oliver is going to be the best Melbourne player to ever play the game.

Close but my votes are for Clarrie.

Maybe he's not. Tough call. I know he's a star but you can't drop anyone from this lot today.

Edited by leave it to deever

Grundy v Jackson reckon we got a clear answer today. Great performance

Highest win at the MCG since 2018, well done boys!!

And it’s so pleasing that we’ve played two outstanding MCG games after a very patchy run of games there last year.

If we going to lose the odd game such as last week you’d rather it be away from the G.

Pickett back, McGovern and Shuey out for eagles. Time to load up on the % next week

Hibberd didn’t finish the game and appeared injured, so that probably makes things easier re:Kozzie coming back in.

Club made the right decision with JVR. He is now ready.

Thanks but feel for Hibbo.

Is Bbb injured?

Disagree with your disagree, yep he was good in the third. They were coming hard a got within a kick. He turned the clearances around with his ruckwork, both grabbing them kicking forwards and his hit outs.

He got us going midway through the 3rd when it was needed most. That’s when it counts the most, imo. The game was over by 3/4 time.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
