Thanks for the info mate. We were planning on just rocking up and buying tickets 🤷🏽‍♂️ we have a country family membership but not sure that'll help with a Gabba game. Either way we'll be there

Hope it all goes smoothly, we need every bit of support!

Great ins. And TMac named as well.

Full strength other than Salem. Lions won't know what hit them.

Edit: forgot about Kossie. obviously will come straight back in post suspension.

Fine.

Got to feel for Tomlinson, but if May is available then clearly he goes in, and if Fritsch is also available then there's not much of a case to shuffle any key defender forward.

Presumably Melksham will be sub again as we've added more height with the changes anyway, plus he is so close to 100 games he can probably taste the Menevit tablets already.

Terrible ins 😅

Gotta feel for Tomlinson, he played so well and deserved another go.

Fingers crossed May's calf doesn't blow up.

That is one very very strong looking side.

It sure is.  I wonder who would go out to make way for Pickett and Salem, who are both surely in our best side.

McVee and Chandler I'd say, sadly... though I worry about Harmes at times but I'm just glad I'm not a coach or selection committee trying to figure it out lol

It's probably one of the best 22 we've seen since flag with Salem and Pickett really the only glaring outs.

Interesting to see that we have got the same 4 umpires as last week for this game.

I'm good with those ins. Feel for Tommo bit he's put his name right in the frame now.

I think Chandler has shown enough to stay in, as you mentioned, Harmes I’m not completely sold on…he’s sort of lost a specific spot and is behind others in terms of midfield minutes…tough gig that’s for sure

Darcy, Darragh, and Dayne.

Brisbane's ins look like someone tried to cheat on a word puzzle game.

Meanwhile, our ins could each stake a claim to being in the proverbial best six at almost any club. It is a little scary.

At some point this season our whole team is going to have an 'up' game on the same day and it simply won't matter who the opposition is. (Although personally I'd like to see our two games against Hawthorn reach a combined margin over 200)

Tommo would be in the first six picked in every other team this week.

One more time 😂😜

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
