There's a one day amnesty on the death ride.

For two weeks. Surely we want them to beat Port as well in Round 23?

Yep. Right you are.

Two week amnesty.

It’s a tough game to watch really. I think I want the Lions to win but when they just kicked that goal to take the lead I felt dirty. Perhaps a draw?!

Lions on top. will get home here but % down for them. top 2 safe

Jackson 🫠

And again…could be 2 goals up…instead 2 behinds and the scores are level.

I'll take a draw though.

A draw would be good. And funny.

What a one-handed mark from Amiss. Luke Jackson is playing a ripper game.

This game is SO boring. Yet so important.

Imagine being a Lions fan watching our game this afternoon. Boring and disappointing (not that I'm complaining).

He’s desperate for Melbourne to get a home final 😂

Freo are torching their forward opportunities and Brisbane are pulling free kicks and random kicks off the ground for all their goals. Annoying.

Jackson has lost 2-3 critical one on ones in the last few minutes to cost Fremantle a goal and a chance at goal.

Frederick with another ripper goal from the pocket to bring Freo within 2 points with a minute left. Come on Jacko give us some of that bang bang bang magic.

Luke Jackson had so many chances to impact the game in the last 5-10 minutes and just didn't want it enough.
Lions win, but the dees secure 2nd (for a week at least).

Ah well, we finish the round #2 and we can keep death riding freo.

Key take away though, both sides are not good enough. It’s a shame we lost to both this year, but that stat won’t matter when we’re holding the cup.

Freo should have won that one.

would have preferred a Lions loss but a close win next best outcome

I'll be back on the death riding bandwagon next week. Go Eagles

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
