Jeez he said his mum wouldn’t be happy if he had to move interstate, bloody hell.!!!

Full quote:

Though Adams said it would be “pretty exciting” to go to the Magpies which from the outside it looks like a “good fun club”, he has no qualms to moving interstate. However the West Australian said his mother might take some convincing to get on board.

“Open to the opportunity, mum might be a bit disappointed losing another one of her children because my sister’s over in America at the moment,” Adams said. “She might be upset, but I won’t be too mad, I might get mum getting off me about cleaning dishes.”

Thanks wwsw, hopefully once May, Lever, Petty and Turner get around him he will become a fully fledged Dee.!!!

Would be nice if teams could stop picking players so we can have some talent for a rookie pick

Topped up in the trade period and now have replacements on deck for Ben Brown and May.

After getting Lever and McDonald replacements in Turner and JVR last year.

Plus a big hand next year to hammer midfield and quality flankers.

Get some pace and special skills in the rookie draft please

Absolutely agree.  Next year we will have to go for more pace across half back and midfield.

So happy for Caleb Mitchell.

Agree @dazzledavey36  Wanted him in red and blue.  I was thinking we’d grab him when our pick came.
Loved his ability to side step and deliver in his left foot.  Moves with composure with footy in hand.  Oh well. Have to put trust in JT.

Jed Adams has very good highlights is quick, agile and has great hands, played both forward and back in the highlights.

Cal Twomey picked for first 13 in correct order and predicted 59 selections in total. The bloke's a freak.

Richmond have selected Steely Green.  I wonder if his middle name is Daniel.

you mean woody purple?

So how did Barnett slide so far?

Edit: HS made an error and said pick #53.

Or perhaps has a very good relationship with most of the recruiters

I think the desire for trades this year made the top 10 present itself. Teams had to call each other and player managers and probably Cal to really work out who was going where to evaluate trades.

Still, it’s impressive work from Cal to have the order figured out. I hope teams get a little more aggressive with trades and are willing to do so without the order completely revealed in future years so there’s some more drama

Some media about our 2022 draft recruits for those interested.

Edit: they all speak very well and there is yet another pump up for McVee in there.

Very enjoyable to see them and hear them. We forget how young they are.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
