North have been playing well, but a level below our recent form..Really excited.

We’ve been super impressive and consistent. We’ll perform today no doubt in my mind. For North to win they are going to have to play to a level I don’t think they possess.

Pumped for tomorrow’s match! Our girls are in the best headspace ever. That’s according to (for one) Paxy, and she’d know! The team cohesion is abundantly obvious and the confidence is palpable. It’s astounding what that level of confidence can, and will, do. Not cockiness, but confidence in themselves individually as well as in each other.

Last Saturday I was pretty much the last person to leave Princes Park after the open training session (true story) coz… talking.😁

As I cut across the immense parkland I saw the entire team and coaches sitting cross-legged in a circle under a huge tree, laughing and mucking around and having so much fun. This sight more than any other made me think, Oh we’ve SO got this!

For tomorrow’s banner the Club let us decide what goes on both sides. So ideas were being bandied about but one phrase was common in all of them… DEMON SPIRIT.

GO DEES!!!

❤️💙❤️💙

Love this. They really do seem so relaxed confident and happy as a team.

I'm super excited but went and saw the black Crowes during the week and I'm  inspired to play some music today with some mates. So lots of jamming and then a delayed watch of the game with a lamb roast tonight.

To everyone going today, yell your guts out for them. The whole team deserves this flag after so many years of going close.

Go you demons

Enjoy your jammin’ n lambin’  Brownie!

And enjoy the delayed watching of the game, which I’m sure will be a win. ❤️💙

My 7yo girls already had their Dees jumpers on when I woke up this morning. This household is freakin PUMPED!

CARNAFKKNDEEGRRRRRRLS!! ❤️💙

I really hope there’s a decent crowd in attendance today. For many of us, this is the last time this season we can cheer the girls on live, regardless of the outcome of the match.

Unfortunately, tickets can’t be purchased at the ground so there goes a bunch of potential attendees who are still in two minds.

Anyways, we’ll be there in force. Loud and proud as always. Rain? Not a problem. That’s why the good lord gave us ponchos. 😁 He also gave us biceps, except he skimped on those; he clearly didn’t factor in flogger-duty at that juncture. Coz those floggers are heavy, and even heavier when wet. But that’s of no consequence. As long as the girls know we’re there, all’s good.

GO THE MIGHTY DEMONS!!!!

❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙

good luck today

looking forward to a great display by our team.

they play an exciting brand which can do nothing but help the development of this competition

Positive start.  Ball movement looking sharp.

North are up for this. We need to bring our A game from here which will be tough with Harris having only one arm

Goldy having some bad moments. Stick to the basics please!

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
