The 'Wiz' suspended till Round 12 by Freo

Only offical source I can find on the web is Big Footy but word is the Wiz was locked up last night after a night club incident in Northbridge. Freo FC has responded by suspending him until round 12.

Interesting if this spells the end of the wiz at Freo. You would have to wonder if he will walk or ask to be traded at the end of the year. He has never really seemed settled since returning home.

Just wondering if Demonlanders would give his return to the Dees the thumbs up? If we could get him cheap, does anyone think he could offer something or should the only way we should be looking is to the future, not the past.

I think its in the past personally and although hes a good player, i wouldnt be porepared to give much up 4 him. If we could pick him up for pick 80'ish (like rodan to port) i would but he is too good a player for that. Freo would NEVER agree to that

i would gladly welcome him back with open arms. with him and pickett creating hovek in the forward line and davey tearing it up in the midfield i wanna see the wiz do the old magic he did back in the day where the MCG was his true home

I have a soft spot for him still, but the reality of the situation is, that he is unstable and comes with a hell of a lot of baggage.

We took the risk with Byron because he's a proven premiership player. Wiz is hot and cold, and mostly insane.

At least Freo is actually willing to punish its players for acting like morons, unlike their Western Australian partners.

Great. What magic.

One cant get the ball, one is too fat to play and the other is in a lock up far far away.

Would not touch him with an 80ft barge pole.

He was high maintenance at MFC and has not matured one iota since. A nasty and unreliable character both on and off the field.

He walked on MFC once and I dont want him back.

We have enough senior player who exhibit little to a positive team culture. We dont need a society misfit who would destroy it.

I said it when he left, he will be no good over there, too many distractions, anyway I don't care what he does with himself now

The Wiz actually wasn't too much of a problem child whilst at Melbourne (did have some injury problems though). I believe he was warned by those who would know in the FD that it was not in his best interests to return to WA and they have been proved right.

Having said that he was terribly inconsistent and he won't return to the MFC list.

I'd rather a CAC pick in the 80s than a player (albeit a pretty talented one) like Farmer who's going to give us very little during rebuilding years then retire.

Next.

despite all ur words of wisdom rhino ....

fact is he kicked 55 goals last year as a small forward... the second best of his career.....

pretty good for a fat man.

doubt he will come back to melbourne.... but still a great player..

BB,

Just a hint....Farmer is the one in the lock up.

He is a talented but flawed player. He is not a great player.

Whatever he gives via his 55 goals he takes back with his tragic on field antics and off field problems.

I would not be so sure about that. <_<

Even though The Wiz is The Wiz we really don't need him at Melbourne anymore. We have Aaron Davey for crying out loud, he is doing the job that Farmer did + 100000

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
