Abstemious… one of my favourite words since it contains all the vowels and they’re in order. Same as my friend whose surname is Alexiou.

As for @Bitter but optimistic, methinks it’s more a case of bitter and less so optimistic.😜

It’s funny, when I read one of BBO’s posts, I always “hear” the voice of the eunuch in game of thrones.

You didn’t watch Warner Brothers Cartoons?

At least 40 years before Homer and Monty

Homer and Marge. Simpsons debuted in primetime in 1991. Minus 40 years, plus subtract a few for working memory: Calculate your age as 96? Of course I watched Warner Brothers cartoons. Sophie Lee alone is considered to have caused a $64 billion budget deficit due to workers rushing home.

Mine is a reflection of my very, one could even say extreme,  one eyed view of footy - but I do remain quite surprised that neither I when I set it up, nor any of the several other pedants on this site, have picked up on my misspelling.

Alexis Georgiou probably contains all the vowels you will ever need and in which way you choose to order them.

Your sense of humour is somewhat different

Foghorn Leghorn would have fun with you on the farm

Simpsons actually debuted in 1989 and originated on The Tracey Ulman show as 5 minute shorts

One can never have too many vowels (looking at you, Polish language). I reckon Polish Scrabble must be the opposite to ours. Zs and Ys and Ks would be worth jack and the vowels would be worth the most.

You’re possibly of Polish descent Skort, so you should start to learn the language. This’ll give you an idea of how you’ll go…

Need heaps more information. The band that was playing when? Like at the exact same time as you chose the Dees?

@Slartibartfast Gotta know where this name comes from!

I used to be Baghdad Bob and before that Deefan.  I changed my name to Baghdad Bob when we were shocking, mainly under Neeld.  Many misinterpreted why I chose the name Baghdad Bob aka Muḥammad Saʿīd Al-Ṣaḥḥāf (comical ali, not chemical ali). He  was the information minister for Iraq during the invasion by the US led coalition and despite the terrible situation of Iraq at the time Baghdad was waveringly positive. I felt that we also needed to remain positive and hence the name. I kept it for a long time but when we won the GF last year the need for BB was past.

Slartibartfast, as has been pointed out, is probably my favourite character from The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy and he's famous for saying "I'd much rather be happy than right, any day". It seems a good philosophy to me.

A productivity deficit maybe mate? Not sure Sophie Lee would see government spending outstrip taxation. Strange metaphor, but I like it!

I’m NOT playing second (or third) fiddle to the likes of @Bitter but optimisticor @dazzledavey36!!!!
Either I’m on top or please remove me from the Picket Fence Hall of Fame altogether!

BTW: not sure if you’re aware but I have pet chickens and therefore find the above pic terribly upsetting. But yeah, who doesn’t love a strange fantastic dream. Minus the two aforementioned posters, that is.

Hi Skort. Would that be the same Sophie Lee that played the sax in the band Freaked Out Flower Children? I saw them a couple of times on a Sunday night at the Cherry Tree in Cremorne back in the day. I think she was dating the lead singer, Gumpy, before she dated Mick Molloy.

I’ve not heard of Ariel. Should I check her/them out? Not sure it’s my thang though.

Edit: I gave Ariel a listen. Yeah nah, defs not up my alley. In fact, my phone almost keeled over, it thought someone had hacked into my Spotty account. 😁

You lost me at Psychopathic Cowpoke. And pray tell the censored word after “chicken” is not what I think it might be.
Maybe I’ll revisit this album one day when I’m bound and gagged and can’t leave the dungeon, for example.

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final.
