Can someone tell me if P10 is a good bay. I have never sat this side of the ground before

Looks to level 2A, just about on the 50 metre arc.

Well that's good easy to get in and out of. What Row?

Maybe the club decided on the 10 ticket option after reading the DL thread with the myriad of reasons why it's not practical or convenient for members to go to Friday night games.

Click on the available bay that you are interested in and you will be presented with seats in that area equal to how many seats you request (where possible). Ticketmaster gives you a seating map of each bay. Ticketek does not, you just get what you're given. If you want better seats in the same area you have to start again and see what comes up. Unfortunately the more you do this the more seats are locked for a period of time. What can I say it's a shizen system.

In a Prelim or GF scenario you just take what you get first up in category 1 or what have you, to much of a risk going in the queue again.

It's gut wrenching waiting in the queue.

I have my reserved seats on P7, I love my seats!. Only complaint are the ferals on the corporate boxes behind us (some not all games)

I finally got seats that were swans allocated

irrespective this was poor by the mrc blaming the afl  ppl were complaining all morning

i spoke to the afl and was advised it was a Melbourne request and told about the swan’s allocation becoming available

ty to everyone for responses and to grapeviney for, offering 2 seats

And Ticketek have just made a liar out of me. I just did a mock selection again and a seating map came up. That definitely didn't come up this morning.

I think if you couldn’t get thru earlier keep trying. There’s no chance there are no decent seats left. I think their website gets overwhelmed and goes into meltdown.

I couldn't get anything out of the PC. Had to do the double pronged approach with my mate who ended up getting them but he was on an a job outside with an ipad leaning up against a wall and a phone up against  a tree. Definitely wasn't any quicker though.

Do we get a portion of the gate at finals? Particularly home finals...

I am a 34 year member, sat in the rain, sat and watched us get beat by 186 points at geelong, didnt leave early, Tried to buy 2 tickets today with 2 membership cards, not 10. after 1 hour of watching a blue line  cross the screen we got through only to be locked out on the next screen.

Rang the club, SORRY SIR was the reply WE DONT HAVE ANY SAY WITH TICKTEK.  I am a member of the MFC not ticktek. So its goodbye 34 years of attending as a member and the thousands of dollars we spent, as a blue collar worker some years we couldnt really afford the money but we did.

So goodbye.

Hey mate did you get tickets in the end?

Yep that's not bad. Pretty good view as Bombay said, opposite the 50m arc. Punt road end also equals the cheer squad end and just above the Premium Members area. You should be able to hear me from there.

The map appears on Ticketek but while it allows you to click on a bay when the actual tickets come up they are somewhere else completely.

Were you able to get tickets allocated in the bay you selected on the map?

I've never known how gate receipts work in finals. I'd like to think we do but it all becomes a blur when we get to this point.

Surely the 10 ticket limit will be restricted come PF week? If we're playing someone like the Pies then it really should be 1 ticket per 1 membership.

It wasn't in Perth last year, so I would say be prepared.  also what I found out last year is that they open the queue really early,  The PF tickets queue opened 30 minutes before the official ticket time, GF was the same, but 1 hour before hand.

Had no luck this morning. Now it's No Longer On Sale.

Just have to try the General Public sale later today.

Did anyone have trouble with getting MCC seats. I was in around 9.10 and couldnt get three tickets for level 2, tried level 1 not enough tickets. Ended up in Q nosebleed territory for the first time ever. Went back in and only seats left are in Q and walk up. MCC is going to be rocking Friday night.

Is it though? The MCC may have shot itself in the foot. Hear me out.... A lot of members have reserved seats, like me. However, I am a Full-Member and plan to get in early and find a seat on Level 2, as a walk-up. I have reserved the seat in case there is no allocation for walk-ups left on Friday when I arrive. Sorry if it seems selfish, but that is the new nature of the MCC arrangements. Ideally, I would have a reserved seat and hand that back if I get into Level 2, however; there is nothing in place to facilitate this. I dare say I am not the only one reserving a seat and planning to also check out what walk up is available.

Good point, need to be mindful of that. I'm declaring war on these sneaky Ticketek nitwits.

Ticketek is hopeless it's been saying l'm in the queue but it just keeps saying wait another 10 seconds. Too many people of different club all at once is dumb by the AFL

No, not that I'm aware of.

Now a message pops up no longer on sale. Eff the AFL.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the AFL just tells clubs that Home and Away is their time to shine and make money and the finals is theirs.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

Saturday’s election night game in Perth between the West Coast Eagles and Melbourne represents 18th vs 15th which makes it a tough decision as to which party to favour. The Eagles have yet to break the ice under their new coach in Andrew McQualter who is the second understudy in a row to confront Demon Coach Simon Goodwin who was also winless until a fortnight ago. On that basis, many punters might be considering to go with the donkey vote but I’ve been assigned with the task of helping readers to come to a considered opinion on this matter of vital importance across the nation. It was almost a year ago that I wrote a preview here of the Demons’ away game against the Eagles (under the name William from Waalitj because it was Indigenous Round).  I issued a warning that it was a danger game, based on my local knowledge that the home team were no longer easybeats and that they possessed a wunderkind generational player in Harley Reid who was capable of producing stellar performances playing among men a decade and more older than he.  At the time, the Eagles already had two wins off the back of a couple of the young man’s masterclasses and they had recently given the Bombers a scare straight after their Anzac Day blockbuster draw against the then reigning premiers.

  • NON-MFC: Round 08

Round 08 of the 2025 AFL Season kicks off on Thursday with a must-win game for the Bombers to stay in touch with the top eight, while the struggling Roos seek a morale-boosting upset. Friday sees the Saints desperate for a win as well if they are to stay in finals contention and their opponents the Dockers will be eager to crack in to the Top 8 with a win on the road. Saturday kicks off with a pivotal clash for both sides asthe Bulldogs look to solidify their top-eight spot, while Port seeks to shake their pretender tag. Then the Crows will be looking to steady their topsy turvy season against a resurgent Blues looking to make it 4 wins on the trot. On Election Night a Blockbuster will see the ladder-leading Pies take on the Cats, who are keen to bounce back after a narrow loss. On Sunday the Sydney Derby promises fireworks as the Giants aim to cement their top-eight status, while the Swans fight to keep their season alive. The Hawks, celebrating their centenary, will be looking to easily account for the Tigers who are desperate to halt their slide. The Round concludes on Sunday Night with a top end of the table QClash with significant ladder implications; both Queensland teams are in scintillating form. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?
