Might be more action in the Stands if the two senior teams are there.

Something tells me that our guys are at the pool or similar

I believe they flew back home this morning for 3 days off.
Coaches stayed behind to watch Casey.

She's pretty warm up here. Trust the two's can get a good lead and take it easy near the end. Be a nice way to finish off the Lions with 2 wins.

Did the commentator just label JVR the human highlight reel?

JVR looking very, very good. Not just in the air but as a link up player. Can't wait to see him next year.

Good question alpha. I've been trying all year to find the rules that govern the operation of VFL comp. Would be interested to hear.

“…trying all year to find the rules that govern the operation of VFL comp..”

Do you mean rules other than “when a team gains momentum, give them another bye”?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

It's Game Day and the Demons face a monumental task as they take on the top-of-the-table Magpies in one of the biggest games on the Dees calendar: the King's Birthday Big Freeze MND match. Can the Demons defy the odds and claim a massive scalp to keep their finals hopes alive?

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
