The frenetic pace of this game, though!

 I’m knackered just watching it.

Tigers up by 40pts us against the Suns. Biggest choke of the season!

simply wonderful

Not just the lead they gave up, numerous easy chances to ice the game were wasted.

An all time choke, loved it

Did I mention up by 4 goals with 10 minutes to go and up by 10 points with 1:30 to go?!

so so good!

The Irish just beat the Kiwis in New Zealand. Leave the pub immediately to secure safety. [censored] about to kick off!

No worries Dub!!  I'm wearing a green T-shirt and just threw a chair - they think I'm one of them.

Just hope they don't expect me to drink any of that putrid Guinness [censored]!

Freo are a top 4 rival so I'd prefer if they lose

We can’t hog all the top 4 spots. We have a very tough run home and our form is shaky. I don’t want to see us battling for 8th spot if we lose a couple more.

Fitting in well by the sounds, if in doubt say something disparaging about the English

Thai Guinness is putrid, I’ll agree with that.

Go Saints - but please kick straight.

Currently live ladder has Richmond in their appropriate position 9th.

For those who are into ladder predictors and the like, who do we want to win tonight, in both games?

Depends if you're optimistic about our run home or pessimistic.

If you're optimistic, you want St Kilda to win. Fremantle is a top 4 rival so we want to finish above them.

If you're pessimistic, and you're worried about us making finals, you want Fremantle to win. Puts St Kilda three games behind us in the run to the top 8.

If you're pessimistic you also want GWS to beat Port just to rule Port out (they'd be 5 games behind us with 6 to go).

Dangerfield fits right in on the Ch7 commentary team 🤮.

And what’s extra vomitty is how him and Carey need to get a room. 🤮🤮🤮

Wouldn't mind seeing the suns make the 8. Mainly because it'd likely be at the expense of a Tigers or Dogs or similar

please be Carlton

Collingwood win another close game that they shouldn’t have. It’s driving me insane.

Magpies get out of jail yet again - how appropriate, given their jumper, and the fact that  their fans get day parole to see the game.

Strange how Lobb wants to leave Freo, wonder who he has a beef with?

lobb wanting to leave and freo being okay with him doing so is very odd

he's in career best form in a top 4 side

understand they want dogga, but he's more about the future than 'now'? their window IS now as much as it is / could be the future

How in a month of Sundays was that free to Fremantle and not to Jones who was grabbed around the neck?  Directly gave a goal to Freo

Frees were I think 9 - 4 in Saints favour now 11 - 10 for Freo.  Certainly have impacted the game.

Now Saints in an absolute panic - rather like we were in Q3 v Freo.

Gee that was heartless from the umpire

He is superb at criticism of other players

Wow, butchered the missed holding the ball call then paid fifty for dissent. Stevic had a bad last minute.

Umpire #19 has just handed the Dockers the game - ignored a very obvious HTB, then gave a slightly less obvious one to Freo - Saints unsurprisingly exasperated -> 50 meter penalty and goal after the siren.

Hard to see the Saints getting back now - they had the momentum and perhaps a chance for a goal themselves before the siren.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
