The frustrating thing though is the saints get back in it & now they let Essendon kick away again.

Lets hope they have the legs for the final term

Druggies playing like winners!!!

Some at half time take the short acting ones, others the delayed action variety.

God Essendon are kicking higher scores than us.

The saints have a tough draw. They will rue this one. The saints could have moved up to the top 4.

They're [censored] if they lose this one.

Only just tuned into this game.

Looks pretty uncontested and meh.

I’m sure they’re tired though.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Was quite an achievement by me to observe that given how stoned I am right now.

Only proves you need to play or score for all the quarters.  [censored] into the wind for one quarter and you are playing catch up

The Saints played a very average game. What's worse is that Essendon just kicked 107 points against them.

Ugh what a horrible start to the weekend with them winning.

I guess the positive thing is Essendon fans won't be calling for ruttens head & wanting Hird back

Not this week anyway.

With Collingwood a certainty to play finals, this loss by St Kilda could cost them a spot on in the finals.

You can’t be losing to a bottom 3 side this far into the season.

I know it’s an obligation for a Melbourne supporter to hate on Essendon but I enjoyed their performance tonight.

Credit to them. Saints didn’t come to play when it mattered.

Collingwood are so much better than last year it isn’t funny.

- Easy remaining fixture. Play North, GWS, ESS, Adel, GC.

- excellent record against the top 8 thus far

- have a healthy list.

- just look like a damn good team to be honest.

Collingwood are playing finals this year.

On the contray we need to look at all these 8 point games  (we beat the Dons, they beat a finals rival of ours , the Saints)  as a real bonus now its not absolutely certain the Dees can make the 8, and if we do this result helps us enormously re; ours finals position vs the Saints.

More power to the Bombers against all top 8 sides from now on I say.

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
