Yeah for sure, definitely agree on that.

Just reckon he should be under the spotlight more than Weid.

BBB needs to lift or go back to Casey just like any other player. I'd rather JVR play if Brown continues his woeful form. Either way Weed plays as he is our only viable ruck/forward.

I'm sure if he gets selected everyone on here supports him and hope he goes well. Players don't read these posts you do know.

1/ wait and see.  Every team selection post has someone or more saying so and so shouldn’t be selected because they are a dud.

2/ I believe that some do.  I think Disco posted prior to his debut thanking posters for their support.

We have found a player in Disco. Looked very comfortable in his debut before being concussed.

I thought that was a joke as in there is a poster named Turner who was pretending to be Disco (?)

I don’t know if any players read these posts. What I do know is that some players’ family members do.

Actually, I think he is wonderfully professional and driven, with single mindedness on the field and some leadership. Gives his all and I love that.

And that's no bull.

If that’s the case, then it’s fortunate that I haven’t said anything too bad about ANB for a couple of years. And more than thankful, for once, that I live in Sydney. (She scares me)

Nah NC, that’s Fritta’s mum you’re thinking of. And living in Sydney ain’t gonna save you. After all, it was Tom McCartin who she wanted to “hunt down and kill” for punching “Bayles” in the ribs. And where do you think he lives?! 😆

I’m safe then. I luv Fritta.

All I will say is she must be one really proud lady. Exceptional son. Can't describe how much I enjoy watching him go at.

If Daw is injured or unavailable for selection, I imagine we will go with May in for Turner, Weed in for Gawn, and Tomlinson in as sub. This will keep our structure consistent with how it has been all year. Weed will play Jackson’s usual role of second ruck/resting forward like he did against the Hawks.

If Daw is selected I believe Weed will come in to replace Mitch Brown. Further, if Daw is suffering from mental health concerns right now, I’m really happy for the club to give him all the time and support he needs. The guy has literally stood at the precipice and stared down his own existence. The result of a game of sport pales into insignificance.

So Stu … in you first scenario Mitch Brown survives? Seriously?

Hopefully he'll be back into the side in a month he's already better than Tomlinson in the back and allows Petty to pinch hit in the forward line.

Agree Mitch back to Casey where he must forever stay.

Agreed, I would bring JvR in before holding onto M Brown in the team. He’s had some solid games over his time with us but his time is up.

Hard to see a player with poor physicality such as Weed will be any good in the ruck but there is no one else, assuming Daw is unavailable.

Weid has actually filled the second ruck role decently in the past, it’s not his preferred position but I feel like as a forward he almost tries to avoid contact, whereas as a ruckman he knows he has no choice and it seems to settle his issues about the physicality of it.

At the end of the day where we are at now is “decent” is the best we can get, we have injuries, last year we got a good run. We clearly have a very good best 22 but now we test the depth of the club, as well as the character of the players. Oliver, Trac, Viney etc will have to work a lot harder to win the clearances now and frankly I feel like they have been getting way too used to the armchair ride they’d had from Gawn.

My guess would be Wed night Old Dee but really no idea either.

So now we're thinking mental health concerns for Daw and not injury?

If that is the case the club has kept him off the injury report to protect his privacy and give him space to get well.  The worst thing would be having it in the headlines or worse social media where really unsavoury people lurk and who knows what they might troll him about.

This last comment isn't about your post, more a general comment but it may be best if the reason he hasn't been on the injury list doesn't get much airplay on DL.

On the bright side he was in the pics when Turner's debut was announced.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
