Who?

Tomlinson, Dunstan, Van Rooyen (2goals) and Turner playing well. Baker solid at this level as always. Weideman looking threatening but is often double and triple teamed, took a nice contested mark and converted.

McVee and Woewodin getting a bit of the ball. Not so much for Rosman and Laurie.

Jacob van Rooyen has the potential to be an absolute weapon.

Might that have been Turner's first VFL goal?

Do these guys on the broadcast not realise the special commentators mic is off? Probably not. Also stop using “chiseling” please! It was stupid enough when BT said it.

Tomlinson the only melbourne emergency that's playing today.

Interesting that they didn't take him to Perth. It would indicate that Lever is definitely playing. I guess it there's a late key defender out that they could move TMac back at a pinch and bring Mitch Brown in.

JVR is already AFL standard

I would think so

Holy smokes what a clunk by Van Rooyen! 🔥

This boy's going to be a player. Don't want to talk him up too much but he reminds me of a young David Schwarz.

It’s a big call as schwartz was such a freak. But I’ve had the same thoughts. something in the way he moves brings him to mind.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
