Only good thing is Collingwood had to line up and cheer Selwood and the cats win!

Did the Cats take amphetamines, or did they dope the Pies with Valium?   Swab the lot of them.

Still, a long season and the Cats will tire by the late rounds.

Lights out early last night at the nursing home.

We all hate the Pies but the death spiral of the cats…. Chefs kiss!!!

Along with a Nafan Bucks you were not a great coach.

I’m kinda fascinated in what Geelong are going to do in the next few years with their list.

Hawkins, Higgins, Smith, Selwood, Blicsavs, Danger, Thouy, Stanley, Rohan, Ceglar, Menegola, Duncan and Stewart are all over 30.

Even Cameron and Guthrie are both 29…

And the players they have coming through that look alright (not superstars):

I don’t think Geelong are a destination club after last year (If Im a 25 year old free agent and I want a flag, I’m going to Melbourne/Brisbane/Sydney/Bulldogs/Carltonbefore I even consider Geelong), soo do they go to the draft? With 13 senior players dropping off left right and centre of the next couple of years?

If Chris Scott had coached Geelong in a different era he would've signed Cliff Young as a category b rookie.

Cats effort in last qtr was pretty good. They sent their Captain a fitting win and everyone contributed in my opinion.

Full credit to them.

What are the odds of Noble going around as coach next year? Sure he doesn’t have much to work with, but he is such a vanilla and boring coach.

Geelong does still have that lifestyle card, if you consider high-class dining in Melbourne of a weeknight, with being a surfing-farmer-come-afl-footballer the rest of the time a lifestyle.

Actually, it doesn't sound too bad now that I write it down. Too bad their jumper sucks and I can't stand anyone who has ever worn it.

So we draw a big crowd to our home game. Essendon failed us, so the least the Pies can do is earn us some $$$$

Some things are worth more than money. Like the filth going on a nice long losing streak. Can’t put a price on that Mazer.

The positive is the filth lost.

The negative is girlong won.

I still maintain that Geelong are on their last breath.
Collingwood like Carlton have come out this year playing manic footy. Manic footy is unsustainable for a whole game let alone a whole season.
The first half showed how weak Geelong is when under pressure from the opposition. The second half showed that Collingwood will be unable to sustain pressure for 4 quarters and have no idea how to defend a lead.

Pies play exciting but dumb footy. They burned themselves out in the first three quarters. About the only side that will be more tired than the cats in last quarters.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
