How good is that!

Hope the girls are allowed a training run on the G beforehand ie during the week.

Gonna drag my mum along. The Essendon men's game is the night before and she lives semi-regional, so if it's one or the other for her I'm actually going to take her to the AFLW prelim - first ever AFLW final played at the G - I mean come on! Gotta be there.

The men will play Essendone a billion times again.

So that means I have to go to the G Friday and Saturday. In a way it is good but am  I the only person who wishes it was at Casey.

I think you might be.  I'm pleased it's at the G.

I think it’s fantastic news. Hopefully the faithful will come out in force to support the team, I’ll definitely be there to cheer on the girls.

I’ve been working on the broadcast for AFLW all season, and both sadly and happily will be working on this game as well. The team has been in a clear upper echelon of the competition so I’m hoping they bring that on the day. There’s a part of me that wishes it was at Casey for the fact it’s a fortress of ours, MCG is a neutral venue. The Lions are a very good team as well but hopefully Harris pulls out a massive game against her old club.

It’s free entry so everyone get there, they are a part of us and they’ll be counting on loud Dees fans that missed out on last years mens premiership to help them get over the line and into the Granny!

Free tickets available today:  AFLW Members, 2:00pm (local) | General Public 4:00pm (local).

I also would have preferred Casey as it is our fortress.

Casey is an MCG sized ground.  Anyone know how The Gabba size compares to the MCG?

Your question piqued my interest, so I googled and up pops a 2017 demonland thread, haha!

According to that

Thanks DIO.

Not much advantage for us then.  Maybe the Home crowd will get our dees over the line.  And 🤞Freo do the Crows.

Bit of a shame we aren’t playing later that evening, what an epic day of footy that could’ve been for Dees fans!!!

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns.
