Heard it on 3aw Rex Hunt reckons we dont have the cattle and we will not win with Neita or Robbo out .

He said that the cats will win by 28 points and maybe more if they get on a roll.

What do you think i reckon we do have good players but the mind set of the players is a worry at times ( like now ) .

Dear Old Rex...

It is not overly hard to tip against the Dees this week:

1. Lost the first 2 games with no heart

2. Lost key personnel

3. Up against a side that won by a bucketload last week.

On paper (and according to this site) we dont have the cattle. Or the guts. or anything else.

But I still tipped the Demons (and I thought Rex was the dribbling idiot!)

The cats have tom hawkins and selwood added to a great list. It is important to note that 90% of this list were beaten by minnows and short handed teams in 06. They missed the 8 at finals when they had the right cattle on the paddock.

When geelong are playing, nothing is certain.

The dees are an outside chance.

rex is a smart guy. if i were a betting man i would place a $50 on geel by 50 points as i recon we will get flogged. remember 'go with your head not your heart"

unfortunately unlike some past occasions when we've faced enemies depleted.. we now have the handicap of our top two goal kickers missing physically...and half the rest just missing in action..

that my fellow Dees is a sad reality.

Let me tell you

Geelong are [censored]

Soft, slow and poorly coached

Good call Yze Magic, now if we do get up today I can say that we beat a side that are [censored], soft, slow and poorly coached.

But if we lose we got beaten by a side that is [censored], soft, slow and poorly coached.

Somehow I don't think we can call anyside [censored], soft, slow and poorly coached at the moment.

The fact that Freo is 0-3, when everyone has them in the top 4, just goes to show you that we are not the only unstable, unpredictable, prone-to-dropping-our-bundle, side in the competition.

The difference is, Freo has a great home ground advantage, and no key injuries.

At least they'll take some heat off us.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
