also those expecting a photo with the cup , no, of the cup yes

That was always going to be the case with 30,000 people wanting a photo with the holy grail. Imagine the line for that. It would be impossible to accommodate everyone who wanted one and then imagine the disappointment of those still waiting when the event ended

To be fair the club has provided ample opportunity for Victorians to get a photo with the cup.

I'm going to miss out because my partner planned a trip for us to Adelaide and I can't get out of it, we're driving and I couldn't let her drive all the way by herself. We have an AirBnB booked so we can't cancel that without the loss of all monies paid. I even looked at coming home the 4th and flying back the evening of the 5th. But the difficulty of getting an entry check would mean that I'd have to fly home go straight to a Covid testing centre fill out another application and have another covid test as soon as I get to Adelaide Airport, or quarantine till I do.

As it is I had a test yesterday and theoretically, as soon as we cross the border I have to have another, I can wait till I get to my final destination, the Barossa Valley, I think.

Who would have thought it would be that hard to go to another State.

I doubt it. mainly becuase it would be pretty boring for anyone watching on live stream given the event is really only people watching a replay.

But perhaps the presentation of players and goodies speech might of interest. You'd think they will at least record them and post them on the MFC website.

Contacted the club and they said no plans but would raise it with the events team. Really quick response, well done to the team there.

Dante the Cop sat in his saloon car watching the football club guys wandering in and out of the hotel like ants fighting over a seed. Dante hated football, ever since he was forced to play it back in school and was sat on his rear end multiple times by guys who looked like refrigerators with eyes, and were about as smart. His mouth felt like an old towel left out in the sun and he cursed for the hundredth time the dame from the night before who had lifted his wallet while he was trying to find out where her stocking seams ended. Goddamn football, and goddamn the tall slender stranger who had offered fifty a day, two hundred of it up front,  plus expenses, to play nursemaid guarding a goddamn giant shiny beer mug.

Hey friends, did your tickets come through to everyone's phones as you ordered? Still waiting on mobile delivery

NO.  It took 5 emails to Ticketek to get 2 accessible seats sent to me instead of the ones I had already purchased for myself ( you have to put in an application form for these and then wait 2 or 3 days to get a response).

Whats worse is I have also booked Boxing day test tickets and guess what....Ticketek have sent me the tickets to the Demons Premiership celebration again.!  At least I have 4 weeks to sort out that problem.

They don't answer phones, they don't have staff attending to complaints.

Whenever I see Ticketek my heart sinks!

Yesterday I got an email from the club telling me how my electronic membership / entry card will work for the 2022 season.

It never mentioned anything about Ticketek I have my fingers crossed.

I thought I saw something from Pert saying that the players will parade the cup around the boundary, as they do on Grand Final day? If you are on the boundary you might get a photo.

That's the one I'm more interested in. Hoping to see it live next year at the G

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
