Not sure Kardinia park without a crowd is as daunting. Further this Cats side over rated

Hipwood out for the year.

Bruce out for the year.

Stewart out for the year.

I’m doing my best not to get too excited about key players going down for the other contenders but it’s not easy.

Good point.

I could not pick a winner if it was shoved down my throat this year.

You'd think having Treloar and Smith in your over 20 possessions multi would be safe right????????????????

I'm not sure, I'd rather Port in Adelaide than coping Geelong at KP (regional crowds in Victoria) for week 1.

I don't really rate Port (I think they are the weakest of the top 4 sides) and we have a good record at Adelaide Oval.

The afl own the grounds during finals so to speak and set ticketing policy. Thus if we play in adelaide there will be many more dees fans getting over there and wont be anywhere near a full port crowd.

Oh that’s a shame. As much as I can’t stand the Cats, I really liked Stewart - seemed a cut above the rest.

That out is going to reshape a settled side with Blicavs probably going back, which is not there preferred position for him.

stewart out is massive. their defence is seriously damaged without him

he's one of my favourite non-dee players, so reliable, tough and effective. would/will be all-australian

Could we stop speculating about finishing on top and start taking things one game at a time. We have a game to win tomorrow.

Wise words.

If we happen to play the Doggies in a final, I really hope we go after Cody Weightman. He runs his mouth a lot. Real small man syndrome. I would be going after him in a final.

I think that’s what he wants so he can dive and duck for frees.

That depends on Covid Im afraid.

Fair to say everything is up for grabs.

Can St. Kilda reasonably make the finals? Just trying to gauge their will.

Can finish 7th but need a lot to go their way.

Tom Henry looks like Alfred E Neuman

Bit of a chance.

If WC lose both their games and Essendon lose once than they’re in (assuming they beat Geelong and Freo at Marvel next week)

Win tomorrow and gauranteed top 2 gives us the option to rest some players v Geelong if they are going to scrap the bye

Tomorrow is the game to rest anybody.
I doubt the bye will be happening before The Finals.
We may get a bye after The Preliminary Final…

GO SAINTERS

Saints are on big time. Intensity is there. I think the Cats were expecting a walk in the park.

From what I have seen we have no reason to not expect the Crows to come hard tomorrow.

Geelong is unbelievably old and slow.

It's all lining up for us fellows.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbnae

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
