I know his contracted but needs to be considered. He adds nothing to us and clubs like Port are crying out for inside mids, we could make out like bandits.

Viney is a bloody champion. If he could hit a target, he would be an A grader.

Viney was one of our best tonight

Not why we had a draw!!

Garbage player limited skills trade in a heartbeat

That’s when he can get on the field

Still amazes me that on DL new threads aren’t vetted. ?‍♀️

Good but very limited footballer. His foot issues have destroyed his ability to get off the mark quickly. Has poor vision, lacks penetration with his kicking and often kills forward momentum. Worst of all is he throws out the balance in the midfield and pushes better more complimentary players outside the centre square... Harmess and Brayshaw.

Tick the trade for me

We just signed him up to 5 years.

Club wouldn't have the balls to trade him.

If we win the flag I so hope Viney plays a blinder to shove it up so called supporters. Absolute heart and sole player.

And this is after a draw. Had we lost, what would it be? Maybe, put out a contract on Viney’s head.

I'm sending a couple of movers to his joint now to pack his belongings up for Jeelong. They may be a bit late tho, they're coming from interstate.

Too many here with rose coloured glasses on. He has been a liability the last 4 weeks only plays well now as a tagger. I'm not sure if we should go all the way and trade him, but he's certainly not deserved of his spot at the moment. You just can't carry a player like that who turns the ball over like clock-work.

Ridiculous thread, in my opinion. Yes, Viney has been a little bit disappointing lately but there were probably more than a dozen players who were worse than him tonight. I don't think that Oliver, Petracca or Brayshaw were any better. It just amazes me how after a disappointing game some people on this forum like to point their fingers at one player as the sole cause of our problems.

This is probably by far one of the worst posts ever made on this site.

“His contracted”? C’mon troll, at least get your grammar right

With all due respect, I don’t think anyone gives a [censored] about grammar on a footy forum.

The bloke's disposal has been lamentable since he's come back.

However, this can be fixed. When he wants to, while he's not exactly an Isaac Smith or Christian Salem, he is capable.

Trade talk is just silly, emotional venting.

The bloke had 32 and 11 tackles.  Spare me the rubbish

Useless when half of them are turn overs. He doesn’t even look where he is kicks it, Would take spargo’s 11 touches any day over Viney’s 32 anyday

In fairness, it’s just so the reader can understand the sentence. His is very different to he’s

a missing comma here or there I don’t mind but I draw the line at ‘his’

anyway. Play on

He gets very little to no momentum with his kicks. They pretty much always drop short. I'm not sure how fixable his kicking is.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
