No way! Dogs got lucky tonight imo. Outta these two, Port are the team to watch. They should’ve won this.

Teams with a game in hand should always be ahead of teams on the same points but with no game in hand regardless of percentage imo.

I guess we may know by this time Friday week.

Glad the puppies won. More games between us and 3rd. Also port are just an annoying imitation of interstate filth.

Haha you’re hitting a few in the middle, [censored] or not Patches.

Dogs midfield is a class above the competition. Their backline is very suspect. Their forwardline is meh although they do have Josh “kicks goals against Melbourne specialist” Bruce.
Port were disappointing for mine. Dogs were very good. Their midfield is next level.

Edit: didn’t watch the Richmond GWS game. But given the injuries to Richmond it seems like GWS blew a good chance. Or did they choke under the pressure?

Noted. That’s what a forum is for, to share opinions.

Come on pal, do you honestly think we have served up better than that this year? If you do, you are in dreamland

if you listened to Dazzle you'd be in dream land as well.

The Powa are an extremely overrated team who got lucky with the shortened version of the game last year.

Couple that with the gifted games played at home and on the Gold Coast where they adapted and play very well.

No improvement whatsoever at all this year, extremely gettable in their backhalf.

They aint no Richmond.
And we shall find out who the big dogs really are in a couple weeks.
But we gotta get over Carlton and Adelaide 1st.
Rock into the dogs game fit and undefeated.

I reckon they are very beatable.

Libba is the one you need to close down. As far as first dibs midfielders go, he is brilliant. On the outside the Bont and Caleb Daniel are very good also. While their midfield probably bats deeper, our back and forward lines are superior at the moment. Should be a fascinating clash in a couple of weeks time.

One of the things I give the coaches credit for this season is planning for opposition, no one has really got off the leash, and we gave Martin his first proper bath. Libba is awesome, have real respect for him, and I feel we will have a plan here.

Dogs openly throw the ball and the umpires never call it. how much does one have to spend to get that kind of treatment from the umpires?

Button it right now big fella, or I'll have Gordon Legal send you a letter

Their midfield is Rolls Royce but we have them covered in every other department. Our defense and pressure game will take care of the doggies. No worries.

I’ve asked this before but how did the Swans give Aliir away for free?! He is a very good player.

Salary cap squeeze i believe.

He's been a great pick-up for Port

If I had to choose I think I’d give ed his collywobbles gig back so i didn’t have to hear him comment...it is unbearable

The quality of commentating in general is of a low standard. I listen to most games with the mute button engaged.

Haha save the legs Patches that right was out of the screws and hot the boundary on one bounce!

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
