My best guess based on that list:

Backline

Stewart May Lever

Allir Weitering Rich

Midfield

Gawn(c) Wines Oliver

Bont Walsh Miller

Forwards (+ Mids who can play forward)

Petracca Hawkins Stringer

Greene McKay Papley

Interchange (Mids who couldn't fit in the 18)

Salem Parish Macrae Zorko

I would have had Boak in but apparently I can't choose him so I'll go with Zorko.

I think I'm being greedy having Salem on the bench so of they go NicNat he'll probably fall out but I feel like a bloke that can't play more than 15 minutes a game shouldn't be in the side

Papley and Cameron you could flip a coin, I think Cameron had a slow start to the year so I went Papley

I hope Gawny gets the captaincy, I think the dogs free fall might have cost Bont his chance at it, but I wouldn't be upset at Greene getting it his leadership turned that side around mid year. Other than that there isn't many choices

I’d love if the followers line was Gawn, Oliver, Petracca all together

I'd love this too but unfortunately Trac's too good so they'll make him a forward so they can get Wines and Walsh in the middle

The future is bright.

This is really interesting. It shows that not only are we doing well now, but we have also set ourselves up for sustained success.

If I were a Geelong, Richmond, Hawthorn or West Coast supporter, I could live with these numbers because it's a consequence of having been successful. On the other hand, it suggests more pain is in store for supporters of Carlton, Collingwood and St Kilda.

What a huge change this is for us supporters seven players nominated in the All Australian Team, I can remember the envy that I felt when the top sides would dominate the AATeam and we would hope to get a Dee into the team. This is what real success feels like it is all encompassing and hard earned I feel so happy and grateful to be a Dee supporter.!!!

Gawn and Naitanui will both be in the side, as they should be.  Both are in the top echelon of players in the competition.  Two rucks is now "normal" for AA sides. 2010 - Sandilands, Jamar; 2012 - Naitanui, Cox; 2018 - Gawn; Grundy; 2019 - Grundy, Gawn; 2020 - Naitanui, Gawn.  Darcy has been named in the 40 as the "heir apparent".

Lever and May both in. Well done to you both. Absolute rocks of our backline and well deserved!

Lever has been superb all year.

Delighted Maysie picked up a jacket. Makes up for getting dudded last year.

Amazing..

Congratulations guys! Thoroughly deserved.

Ah yes, Lever in his favoured position of left back pocket.

Stoked to see May get the nod in full back. Deserves it after missing out last year.

Rich

Allir

Dale.

With Lever, May and Stewart.

who marks a Kozzi Pickett???

So delighted for LEVER and MAY

First AA for both.

both great blokes and great leaders

Weitering stiff. That backline has one actual defender. Good thing May is so good 😂

Is Allir a fraction lucky?

Yep. Weitering has had a better more consistent season.

Agree totally, I am quite shocked Weitering wasn’t named on the ground.

Never heard of Coaches Best Young Player award.

Neither. What a confusing award. How is it different to Rising Star?

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
