One of the best things about watching the AFLW games is the brilliant commentary by Jason Bennett and Nigel Carmody? Why these guys in prime time is beyond me.

More of these guys and less BT.

I listen to the radio.

Corbin Middlemas is at the top of the heap.

Knowing what was coming I turned off the sound and listened to a jazz radio station over in New Jersey. CH7 should sell their commentary feed to Guantanamo Bay.

I think the AFLW is so much better because Jason Bennett isn’t a big personality. No bombast or hysteria. Just calls it as it is. Plain and simple. I think the fact he isn’t an ex footballer helps as well.

BT is too overpowering. I’m trying to follow the action but find myself shaking my head at his over-the-top nonsense. He distracts me from the game.

And just remember Folks the mute button is there for a reason. Use it.

Agreed.

Jason Bennett should be on the full time channel 7 calling roster in the home and away season, if he hasn’t already.

He used to call for the old Fox Footy in the mid 2000’s.

Not having Foxtel or Kayo, I watch down the pub. No need for a mute button as they never have the sound on! ?

My favourite of the night was Hodge, 5 point game with 7.28 left on the clock in the last:

‘the next 5 to 10 minutes will be critical here’

Jobe makes me feel like I’m watching play school.. talks soooo slow.

There's a bloke on Fox who I enjoy listening to as well.

I think his name is Adam Papalia??

It’s not great, but it’s already better without Bruce to be fair. Yes, he’s an icon, but he had completely lost it later on in his career.

The best bit about channel 7 footy is the vision. Turn off the sound I do all the time.

That's what I will doing on Saturday Steve.
