Jackson and rivers are both hot and cold, I like them both but all All I wish for is all of our draftees (especially our 1st and 2nd rounders to play their role), seems to often happen in the good teams. You would've seen Henry tonight for the pies who had a mare, I hope jordan has a good crack today

In your earlier post, you're citing Anthony Scott who was "recruited a few weeks ago" as an example of how other clubs get it right, where we get it wrong... how about waiting until he has played a few games rather than going off half cocked (or choose a better example).

Right now, we are top of the ladder but that might only last a few hours depending on how heavily the Crows thrash Geelong.

??

No excuse here, definitely weeks.
Chose to bump. Hope Kelly is ok.

3 weeks will suit us, so 2 it is, if anything.

Danger should get a week for that

Either Dangerfield gets multiple weeks or the concussion campaign is a sham.

50/50 Dangerfield will be allowed to play again before Kelly is.

Meanwhile, it would seem Walker has been visiting the same psychologist McDonald has been.  I've never much liked him personally, but it is always good to see any player find a bit of form after a long slump.  Plus, he's doing a really good job of not being Tom Hawkins.

Suck on a fat one Cats! 15 years is enough at the top

That was an awesome win by Adelaide. No one would have seen that coming. Well done to Matty Nicks for coming up with a game plan to topple the cats and to do it with 2 players down as well.

Now for the hawks to beat the bummers and get them off to a losing start.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
