He's the new Warren Dean.

Thats a very big call IMV.

Warren came over from SA with Stretchy and Obber, I think. And if not for trying to patch holes at CHB and HBF could have been another wingman of the ages. But it was the time of, "just clock him" and Gary Ayres at about 20Kg heavier seemed to do do it regularly.

It was an era of seeing my favourite players Flower, Johnson and Dean who were all very light and ball players, get smashed by thug players responding to Jeans and Hafey. Still gives me the tom [censored]...

Yes,

Luke Jackson 18 points, 4 boards, 3 assists
Petracca 15 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists

Warren Dean was from Subiaco.

Could roost it 60 metres off a step, struggled with accuracy and injury cut short his career. Loved himv in our 87 run

2 pics.

I don’t think we can expect any non-official training reports this preseason whilst they are locked in at Casey.

Dean almost cruised around and was still getting used to AFL before his career was over.

Over the years the Dees have not had much luck with "elite forwards' Injury snd other reasons have shortened their career so much so this I believe almost more than any other is a genuine reason Why this flag drought continues.

Examples of the above are Schwartz  Jurrah Jackovich Charles Farmer Dean Stephen Smith (his Hamstrings were dodgy )  Hogan Pike Mark Jackson a skinny tall player who kicked 6 one day surname or first name was Glen I think can't remember his Complete  name) .Other fans could add but I are just remembering while typing this post.

Biggest single factor was Schwartz whose 3 knee recos killed his amazing agility and movement. I will go to my grave confident that given a free reign from injury David would have been just as good as Wayne Carey and 1998 and 2000 and other seasons may have turned out different!

BTW Schwartz played in the Reserves (or whatever they were called ) and showed his skill so much so that I said to my family at the time he would be our next CHF.  We know his story and still feel for him as he was virtually cut Down in his prime but bravely played on really only a shadow of that 1994 glimpse.

Letssee what happens in the next 5 Years starting in 2021.

Will be a couple m ore months at least until people start warming to footy properly again.

This year has ruined a lot of things for people.

Pauli Z I only quoted the forwards careers we lost through Injury home sickness and other reasons Gary had his broken leg but had a long career with the Dees not spoilt like players on that list Look at their lowish game totals !

No Lloyd or Dunstall or Lockett high games totals there except for Schwartz !!

Why were there 30 odd photos 2 days last week P2J ?

Club snd AFL provided these So no real reason that Covid is influencing this pArt of our pre season In fact more are likely to show interest because if the draft trade and I believe the Ckub already gaining momentum From Williams  Yze etc and our New recruits mystery aspect.

We are missing our regular Goschs training gurus due to distance but some will/ may emerge as the new year and Senior players start training in January.

Looks like they’re using Mark Williams training balls.

Does the yellow strip help the players to hold the ball correctly ????

Gee, I like the look of Rosman. Has got “don’t fork with me” written all over him. 5 or 6 kgs of muscle and another cm or 2 and look out!

All of the draftees look like they have a bit of muscle definition. Little bit more strength and they'll be good to go, physically

LEARN TO KICK LIKE THE PROS WITH PRECISION

Designed by AFL Premiership Winning Coach Mark Williams

Recognising that kicking in AFL is one of the most challenging skills to learn, Sherrin has partnered exclusively with AFL Premiership Coach and PE Teacher Mark Williams, to launch Sherrin Precision. The brainchild of Mark Williams, the Precision concept features a larger sweet spot on each end of the Sherrin (red dots) which provides a greater area for the foot to connect with and a visual aid for the player to understand the ideal impact zone on their foot. The product also features a yellow spin line designed to provide immediate feedback to the player. When a player connects successfully with these sweet spots, the Sherrin will continue in the designated flight path and spinning pattern to hit the desired target.

Get exclusive access of a unique online training module that features skills content, videos and tips to improve AFL kicking here. This exclusive content has been produced to assist coaches, parents and teachers to become more comfortable and confident with their instruction and feedback, which in turn improves their players' kicking efficiency. These insights will help you notice common kicking faults and provide suggestions on how to correct them.

Sherrin Precision is designed for players and coaches at all levels, as well as teachers and parents that are instructing the game

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
