Hardwicks game plan doesn't work. Hes lost the players, they have no system. They just bomb it long to nobody. They cant score. The are out worked and lazy. Get rid of him.

Sound familiar

Noticed a few players glancing up at what I assume was the electronic scoreboard at the MCG. Surprised me that it was operating in these cash strapped times.

How the hell did Lynch miss that goal in the final term. He was literally right in front. As JB said it was harder to miss.

I really admire Clarko. He shows that you don't need to be a superstar player in the day to be a great coach. He sat back and watched his club cop it all week, being called Dads Army and McEvoy shouldn't be down back while plotting on how to bring down richmond.

Also loved his last remark in the presser last night when asked about dads army and said that why we pulled out poppy so we wouldn't reach that oldest list. It was so tongue in cheek with a smile and Tom Browne wasn't sure how to respond.

Whorethorn understand hard work, it doesn’t matter so much who is in the side.
The MFC touch on hard work sporadically, but then say “We have done it” and let go

At Whorethorn it is a requirement every year.

Remember last year they went to Canberra and played in the snow....and won the game. Games like that i dream of the MFC winning....

Sadly it is a dream SWYL.

Twould be nice if Melbourne occasionally surprised to the upside like the Hawks did, sadly we are predictably [censored].

One thing I have always envied about hawthorn is the way they man the mark with purpose, regularly going way over the mark and always get away with it. I’d like us to push the boundaries a bit more in that area.

One time against Brissy they huddled in the shade at last break.
Lions got up.
Godzilla  after that win (with AFL help)

That’s right i had forgotten that one!!

I bet Clarko hasn’t

I remember that!  Would you believe that was as far back as 1995 and Brisbane were still The Bears.

Clarko was still at North Melbourne (came to us the following year) so I doubt it would be memorable to him.

It would be Whorethorn folklore, Clarko would know it happened

They always learn from any mistakes

Very warm by the sea here. The gin is once again available but swimming pools remain closed.

That is cruel.

Singapore is allowing two people per pool so there is hope. Local population aren't great swimmers so unfortunately not a priority ?

True-  it's not the 1m further away from the player's target that matters much of the time, but the 1m less the player has to work in.  But I'd prefer the umpires to enforce the rules even-handedly and not let anyone get away with breaking them.

Exactly. Agree 100%

He’s been watching Melbourne’s forward line too much.

Can someone please explain to me why Frost was a mistake riddled disaster at times for the MFC, but as soon as he puts on an HFC jumper he turns into a slick, skilful and reliable defender?

I thought in the scheme of things he was a good defender. Sure he made a few clangers but i always thought he gave his all and when on song it was a catchy tune. Wouldnt mind having him back to be honest.

I'm currently watching it on Kayo, so it should be there somewhere.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
