The MCC Logo will have to move then

It would be interesting to know what you and our Demonland colleagues think the "within reason" limits are. Tobacco and poker machines areĀ banned by law, so it can't be that. But which of the following would be acceptable and which unacceptable? Companies or organisations promoting:

  • alcohol
  • guns
  • sex (such as Sexyland)
  • betting/casinos etc
  • coal mining
  • political parties
  • governments (we already have NT and Hawthorn has Tassie. But would China be acceptable?)
  • religion
  • tattoo parlors
  • pharmaceutical products
  • what else might be unacceptable, particularly in this more difficult climate?

Looks like @Bitter but optimisticĀ resume/CV...

Maybe add sponsors on socks and have them focussed on when the players are lining up for goal. Ā Itā€™s a material world ... unfortunatelyĀ

Maybe we could get a weapons guidance system supplier as a sponsor and somehow make use of their product for the same purpose.

I wouldn't be surprised if existing sponsors are given the jumper space at no extra cost. They've hardly had a dollar's value in their sponsorships this year. Pretty much 3 months of nothing. If that's the case, my preference would be for it to go ahead then be banished at the end of the season. It detracts too much from the jumper.

The inevitable Sponsor Logo that will kill the Jumper.Ā
money talks and is needed, i get that. But once these new Jumpers are introduced, they wonā€™t go away.Ā
inevitable and a little sad

It's incredible that the system you revere,Ā  is the one you despise.?Ā Ā  As do many.

Hard to take Mark Stevens' second tweet seriously. If the Bulldogs think "FFC" is so important, why did they change their name in the first place?Ā In fact, why don'tĀ they change their name back to Footscray and dump the bland, meaningless "Western Bulldogs" altogether?

from my understanding they are still the footscray football club;Ā they just 'trade as' western bulldogs

I find it funny that five clubs are to the west of the western bulldogs. They seem to struggle with a nationalĀ Ā competition not to mention their southerly and more western neighbor. They should take pride in their heritage and revert to Footscray

of course it's a bitĀ yucky (well more than a bit), but aren't we just talking about it as a short term measure to repay debt. beats going bankrupt and into oblivion

Can you imagine a list management decision being over-rode by a commercial decision so Oscar McDonald with his longer legs offering more advertising space is retained while Jack Viney is let go because his shorter legs offer less value?Ā

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ā€˜G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sundayā€™s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
