Isn’t he employed by the MFC

I'd assume no one from the public would be allowed to attend but it is on public land so as long as people maintain social distancing we will gladly accept any training reports.

Must say that was what I was thinking but tbh not sure that hanging around in a park is even allowed these days. So many rules in so many States and countries it's impossible to keep up with the finer nuances.

The rule is that clubs cannot share any indoor facilities. I would assume this means only one of MFC, Storm or Victory can use AAMI facilities.

Also, would a group of 10 (which includes FD staff) mean at any one training location? That prevents backs at one end of Goschs, mids in the centre and forward at the other end. May have to separate off to different locations.

This is probably why Andrews said it wasn't effective immediately, as they have to nut it out on a case by case basis

I'd imagine they'll be training at Casey for the next few weeks so as to limit contact with the general public.

Have to say I have some level of excitement at this news. my life is so dull at the moment, I'd tune in to watch them train!

even if they are fairly meaningless games, I'll be tuning in for some entertainment

there's a bit of confusion over the ten player limit.

My understanding is that the Victorian protocol for professional teams allows for the full team (Community teams are limited to ten)

OTOH other states such as WA are limiting numbers to ten

so,,,,,, who knows

Indeed, still a bit to play out here. Apart from different group limits in each state, the issue is also around players in WA and SA who have returned from interstate and are still in a quarantine period.
In any case, there will be a uniform AFL policy for all 18 clubs to follow until everything’s eventually aligned between state jurisdictions.
It was mentioned on Classified tonight there will be an announcement on this tomorrow.

I walked down to Goschs, bit too dark to see, passed a couple of blokes on Victoria street who were practicing shooting though

My 5 yo kids are doing children’s yoga in front of the telly right now, does that count?

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that Petracca has not slacked off too much from his preseason.

You would have to imagine that when full training resumes the club would be using Casey as the primary training base. May not have the same access to facilities, plus it's a decent distance from the city but it would be the best opportunity for the club to have a controlled environment.

Fritzel looks like one of the stars from Harry Potter.

Grow some facial hair Fritta.   A 'stache',  or a demonic Go-Tee.    You still look like an under 19.

Tracca actually looks more like a man,  with his do.

Well,  his lower arms look trim,  too trim.

But he does appear to be putin in,  the fitness work.   Lets all hope that translates into more endurance,  and more running both ways.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
