We should move the entire competition to North Korea, they don’t have any cases and never have.

This team has broken my heart for almost 50 years.

But still i am missing them play today in this strange season.

Go Dees (whenever we play again)?

Just a lot of people mysteriously dying of unexplained bullet wounds.

North Korea 22/06/20 - 1 case

North Korea 23/06/20 - 0 cases

North Korea 24/06/20 - 1 case

North Korea 25/06/20 - 0 cases

Casey fields has today been set up with a drive-thru testing site.

Not sure yet on if it directly impacts the oval itself, but this surely impacts our ability to train there?

Edit - Update: The testing site is a few hundred meters away from the oval. Still, seems sketchy.

It is quite possible that no WA team is in the GF and very possible that east coast fans won't be allowed into WA due to their quarantine requirements.

Would rather Sydney than Perth.

A few weeks ago after some players broke the covid rules and Connor McKenna tested positive, I questioned whether the Qld gov't would allow AFL players in without 14 day quarantining and specifically Rich for round 5 game vs WCE.

With the covid spikes in Victoria.  It is looking increasingly unlikely as Rich vs WCE in doubt.

Another game postponed?  That bye for 'catch-up' games is looking increasingly likely.

And once Brisb and GCS leave Qld to play in Victoria will they then need to quarantine before returning home?  Who knows.

Anyone's guess as to whether the season is ever finished.

Update:  Round 5 fixture changes:  https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/richmond-west-coast-clash-in-doubt-20200629-p5574q.html

We most likely play Richmond next week!

Assume we now are highly unlikely to play the Dockers on the GC.

MOVE TO THE NT - games hosted in Alice Springs and Darwin

I saw it, he defended Mckenna to the hilt but got stuck into sidebottom.

no club bias, nothing to see here

Did McKenna actually do anything wrong? I thought I read that he was cleared of any breaches of the AFL Covid protocols.

If I'm mistaken, then of course Robinson should equally be critical of McKenna.

Quite right. Because he was already in quarantine, the suspension wasn't "visible".

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
