Yeah, yeah.  I know.  It doesn't really matter but thought it's worth a glance at the very least.  Full list here for those who can read it:

Mark Robinson’s Top 50: Marcus Bontempelli set to join Western Bulldogs greats

Melbourne players included are:

Max Gawn at #7

Clayton Oliver at #25

Christian Petracca at #49.

He gave the #1 spot to Bontempelli, with Dusty at #2 and Fyfe at #3.

I saw this this morning but wasn't sure if it was different to his End of Footy Year 2019 rankings.

Bont is a brave choice, I like it.

I don't see enough of Fyfe to appreciate his work, I only watch Melbourne games.

Dusty is frustratingly good, just turns it on when needed

I love Trac and think he will explode this year and he did have a good year last year, but he is not in teh top 50 players in the comp.

I can never keep up with these things as to where the reporter thinks they rank right now or whether it’s a Nostradamus style thing of saying this is where they will be rated once the season is going.

Trac hasn’t done enough in season to qualify but if he continues his pre-season form he’ll be top 50 (higher) for sure.

I wouldn’t. Cripps has poor disposal and kicking for goal.

Yep must admit i didnt really read whether its on form or its a forecast. I agree, if his form continues, then he is top 50 for sure.

Bont gets 4.5 more kicks and 200m gained more each week. Clearance dominance is nice but it doesn’t correlate with winning.

All Bont has to do is stop missing easy goals and he’ll push Dusty for number 1.

That said, if Cripps takes another step with his marking and kicking he’ll tighten the gap with Danger and Fyfe for 3 and 4.

Bontempelli is a rare talent. He might finish his career with 2 premiership medallions and a Brownlow or two. As long as the premiershp is not at our expense.

Does he really have a drinking problem ... this sample is very radical.

Explain how

Anyone catch AFL360 last night? Robbo was bordering incoherent, like a drunk man debating footy and life at the pub.  He can barely remember players’ names let alone provide a balanced, robust assessment on the order of their standing in the game.

Is he getting worse?

Agree demon3......

Max & Clarry are the only ones that warrant a top 50 selection in my opinion & daylight  after that. Trac has the potential & probably Viney close but a good year for those 2 could see them an automatic selection in future years.

Spot on LG, i actually think Viney could be teh big mover this year, set for a great year, looks light on his toes and will be determined as ever to play well.

If we end the year with Max, Clarry, Trac and Viney in the top 50 players, we probably play finals.

No way is Bont the number one player in the league.

For mine it’s 1.Martin, 2.Fyfe, 3.Cripps

Then there’s a bunch including Danger, Buddy, Josh Kelly, Neale, Grundy , Gawn , J. Cameron, Yeo ,and Bont in that group.

I wouldn't put him on TV and I just about refuse to watch him on tv these days, but ranking the player the coaches had as the best in the game last year as the best in the game is not at all radical.

In fact the most radical part of his list is Buddy Franklin at 33 give his injury history and decline. Pretty much every other player is reasonable.

I think this is his predicted top 50 for the year, then at the end he does he's actual top 50.

So he is predicting the Bont to be number 1. I would argue he won't even be the best Footscray player

Each year he’s getting worse and worse, I was amazed he wasn’t given the bullet last year.

End of year rankings = based on the last season

Start of year rankings = prediction for the upcoming season

Why anyone cares about Robbo’s opinion enough is a more important question.

Claimed he attended the Carlton/Brisbane pre-season match on Sunday... not inconceivable he just woke up in the Robert Heatley stand after a heavy Saturday night at the Great Northern

It’s quite sad that he still has the top job

The man is a complete clown ? with zero personality.
I have heard Liam Pickering get stuck into him on Radio ?

that has been entertaining!!

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
