dworship 3,343 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Mrs W and I are booked into the Miami Hotel in Nth Melb for that Friday. Easy walk down to Arden St and back. Although coming back we will have to stop in at the Three Crowns Hotel for a burger and a couple of beers. 3 Quote
JakovichScissorKick 771 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 (edited) A match vs Essendoon on Friday.. and playing the Crows the very next day? Something doesn't add up here. Is the fixture on the club website wrong? Edited February 18, 2020 by JakovichScissorKick Quote

When the practice match was announced, I remember reading that it would feature players that didn't play the following day against Adelaide. Basically, its the reserves players that will play against Essendon. How many that will end up being, I have no idea. 3 Quote

buck_nekkid 6,101 Posted February 19, 2020 Author Posted February 19, 2020 My appt cancelled and I really cant justify driving over 60km to watch the Resies in a scratch match. Shame, was looking forward to it. Quote

Diamond_Jim 12,772 Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 (edited) The first VFL game is not until round 3 of the AFL season. Interesting to see this match being scheduled. One hopes the bacon and egg rolls will be available !! Edited February 19, 2020 by Diamond_Jim 1 Quote

I tend to doubt the egg and bacon rolls although there is a fair bit of work being done around the ground so there may be a few extras there to put the barbie on. Drove past there earlier today and car park seemed full. 1 Quote

Nothing has been announced yet but that doesn't mean they won't. I seriously doubt the Essendon match will be streamed as the game won't feature many Demons listed players. Arden Street game could be streamed like the Pies game last year but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. Quote

Maybe it's time for Demonland to branch out into "Demonland TV", and stream our own telecast live on DL. We could even drag Sandy Roberts out of retirement to do the commentary for us! Good idea, Andy? (Thought you'd like it!) 1 1 Quote
