Wow. I make a point about negativity, and I get back negativity on steroids.

Actually a lesson in how good Clubs have a positive energy and a success culture. Repeated failure is not tolerated.

jon ralph is a big basket

and who has a first name as his surname?

Doubt it will motivate. Different group of course but I well remember the first game after the tragic Troy Broadbridge death who I thought would end up a future Captain.Sadly we put up little effort in that game. And so the band plays on. The power Clubs dominate and we remain homeless, win less and unable to attract the best talent on and off the field.

Nor, would it appear, on Demonland.

Didn't we beat Essendon well in that game:

I'll be long dead in the ground before I take someone with name 'Jon' seriously, and even then it'll be difficult.

The guy not only looks like a potato, he is one.

You are completely right, my memory is wrong. Perhaps I was thinking it would motivate us to win a flag. Apologies and good research.

Ralph's half-comment about Mebourne was just a bit of noise distraction to interfere with his idiotic main idea that Free Agency is great because hey look sometimes some players use it to move clubs for opportunities and that totally cancels out the fact that clubs already contending for a premiership can effectively pick up additional top-3 draft with proven records and do so for effectively nothing.

I wonder how many times that overt lie wil need to be repeated before we all just go with the flow?

I will never look at another potato the again?

Our record over the past decade firmly puts us in the basket case category. Thank you GC for lining the bottom though. There has to be some damn incredible improvement In 2020 to debunk that 2018 was not a flash in the pan.
Anything less than a solid top 8 finish will be a fail. However that won’t stop the apologists hailing our improvement if we finish 16th.

When we easily miss finals in 2020, and when the penny drops about Pert’s New 5 year plan, looking forward to all of you apologising to Agro the puppet.

That looks more like 'Jon' and his drunk boss. And is that Murdoch at the front there?

I have to interject with this tripe.

I was at that game in 2005 against Essendon and no side was ever going to beat the boys that day. They played like a side possessed to honour their teammate and his memory.

We were on fire for the first half of 2005 but as was the case for 04-06 we fell into mid season slumps and in 05 we regrouped late to make the finals, I recall the late Jeff White goal against the Dogs to put the finals destiny in our hands.

So if you want to pot the club by all means go ahead, but don't make [censored] up and certainly don't taint a legacy and the way the club won a game in his honour

The irony is that in fact we are far from a basket case. Our board is as stable and solid as it has been in decades.

Don't count your chickens on this just yet...

You dunno whether you're coming or going.
Here's your quote from the Buckenara thread.
Make up your mind.

"Hey SK,
Most of us here thin we are going to rebound into finals in 2020.  Most, apart from Lyon, think this fall is an aberration.  Most, think that the club know where we are at."

An internal review has seen significant change carried out in a professional, measured fashion, tge exec is solid as is  fd. No players wanted out. And one again mahoney has been a total pro at trade time and achieved most of its stated aims wirh a minimum of fuss.

Had my suspicions but now am certain.
You are an MFC flunky.

I have apologied for my memory lapse with that game and will apologize to you too for any offence given. I was wrong, an aging mind but now vaguely remember hoping/thinking we could have gone all the way that year. I thought Troy was a future A grader and leader at the Club and would have been a 200 game player. a tragedy.

Good and well done.

I actually feel its a large reason Daniher failed.
We needed a CHB real bad and Daniher could never find one when Troy passed.

To challenge my memory further. Did he spend time on Hird in that game PSD?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
