Newnes isn't a free agent according to that list.

Thought I heard on trade radio today that he is a restricted free agent. I could be wrong though.

ellis, elliott, tomlinson are the clear three stand-outs of that crop and we are in discussions with two of them

I'd argue that Edwards would be numero uno, but pretty sure he just put pen to paper

So the first of the free agents in both categories has been decided.

2019 Restricted Free Agent

Brandon Ellis (Richmond) is now a Gold Coast Sun after the Tigers declined to match the Suns' offer.
Jack Newnes (St Kilda)

2019 Unrestricted Free Agent

Adelaide's Cameron Ellis-Yolmen has moved to Brisbane.

Melbourne football club never take a chance, probably one of the reasons they've been so crap for years, it's always by the book #boring

Lamumba was a risk.  Volatile at Pies due to his ego and we took him.  Lever for two 1st rounders was a risk.  Mitch Clark was another risk.  We do take risks.

Far too many actually.

They were all dumb risks. Taking a hugely talented delisted free agent for next to nothing with the last spot on the list is a smart risk.

What, with his injury track record?? KK isn't enough for you? How many crocks do you wanna carry on your list???

None appeal so far.  Maybe Wylie Buzza but only because of his name.

Just my opinion so put away any arrows, bullets and darts. These are options.

small forward option - Ben Keays (x Lions) 22yo had a ripping NEAFL year but couldn’t crack the Lions midfield.

tall forward option - Callum Moore (x Tigers) was behind Lynch and Riewoldt but is a good mark and handy backup key forward.    (also still like Buzzzzzzza for the fans screaming out his name )

running midfielder - Connor Menadue (x Tigers) is a skilled quick wingman who delivers the footy and kicks goals.  Again behind a few quality players in the Tigers middle.

Whilst not delisted (could still be by thevSaints) Jack Newnes is out of contract and presents the best option as a strong running mid. Not sure on Nick Robertson.  Good lockdown tagger type to play tough unsociable footy.  Could be handy to stop others key midfielders.

Im not a Sam Murray fan as his pace is good but ball delivery is poor.  We apparently got rid of Frost for this.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
