Finals Week 3

Ugh yuck. I think if the filth get through tomorrow I may ask Dutton to deport me somewhere.

Seriously geelong were pathetic in that 2nd half. They just crumbled. Interestingly we didn't see Chris Scott being shown in the box in the final term. But those 2nd quarter misses really hurt them.

They kicked 1 goal in each of the 3rd and final quarters. This was the team that finished on top.

Ablett can no longer kicked the ball over 45 metres,  Dahlhaus provided nothing and Danger was not sen in the final term.

Wonder what Chris Scott will say in his presser.

GWS please please do us a favour and knock the filth put tomorrow.

I just turned to the Mrs and said that this was Geelongs last chance at a tilt.

Geelong are finished

Why?

If Ablett and Harry retire, that won't kill them and they have 8 guaranteed walk up start wins, at their own dung heap. An advantage that no other Vic team has.

When Kelly goes they will get players or high picks.

They have a potential forward star in Esava.

Players seem to want to go there.

I hope you’re right, but Geelong are like herpes, they just won’t go away.

That smug [censored] Dangerfield can wipe the stupid smile off his face.

He would have left our club years ago. Dusty wouldn't have hung around during our bad periods.

In fairness Tigers had a pretty poor (mind you not by our standards) few years after he was drafted IIRC.

Because they have a ageing list that will get found out next year.

Yep, Houli and Edwards led the second half resurgence; some moments of true brilliance.

Houli must be so happy to have left the Bombers before the needles came out.

A very committed and still improving player.

I wish it were so, but that bl@@dy team always seems to find some players from under the cow pats in the paddocks down there.

Bl@@dy farmers.

I was at the match.

It is depressing to think that a team like Richmond, a top 2 side, can top up with Lynch, virtually the best forward in the game. A player like that simply wont come to Melbourne.

And Howe, now an All Australian, walks.

What hope is there?

They're done 'Red'...

Apart from Ablett & Harry,

The end is near for Selwood x 2, Hawkins & Tuohy.

Danger can't run a long campaign carrying the team, didn't/couldn't fire a shot when needed in the 2nd half & a lot of wasted possessions in the first.

Kelly will be a huge loss, kids from the draft won't cover his loss.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
