If a team can beat West Coast they will win the premiership. Are strong all over the ground. Seem to just pick guns at will decade after decade. How do they do it? Evenness in the comp is a myth.

That first quarter West Coast played some unbelievable footy, it felt like I was at Optus prelim final day again. Richmond might be good enough to get back in this but if the Eagles get two home finals hard to see them not winning it again.

Liam Ryan OMG what we would do for a dynamite small forward like him. Absolute super star.

What a match... both teams intent and intensity ...Tigers are jncredible.  Hope our blokes are watching / learning something

Umpires gave Richmond a very good run after halftime, not that Jack would agree.

Two blatant deliberates against Richmond went ignored in the dying minutes. Not that I mind them winning given the state of the ladder, but still.

After watching the borefest that was Bris v Geel (Until last few minutes) - I decided to skip the WCE-RICH game. Mistake i guess, but meh, footy has been pretty garbage to watch this year on the whole

As the live ladder stands, Bulldogs, Adelaide, Hawks & Port are all tied on 10 wins, meaning whoever wins + finishes with a higher percentage next week gets the 8th and final place in the finals.

Bulldogs play the Crows next week, Hawks play the Eagles, and Port finish the round vs Fremantle at AO. Currently, less than 2% separates all 4 teams.

Going to be an epic final round, even if we're not part of it.

I would give my left nut for us to play like the Bulldogs.

Young list who all crack in and are great to watch.

Im on the Doggies train, praying they make the 8.

Count me in Beetle.  Amazing what can happen when all 22 have a decent crack week after week and never throw the towel in.  Big difference though....they have players who can run and spread on the burst.  They have an extremely hard work ethic especially with players constantly looking to hit up on the lead.  They have marking forwards.  Their conversion is first class.  And they have the Bont!

Doggies hitting form at the right time. They've just about stitched up the final spot in the 8 with this win, barring an upset next week vs Adelaide.

Hawks/Port/Crows will all be hoping the Dogs lose that one.

In terms of coaching nous, Leon Cameron makes Mark Neeld look like Norm Smith.

Their skills are right up there with the best. Wish we could do what they do.

Watching the Ric WC game, I'm disappointed that it looks like N Riewoldt has chosen a media career. His analysis of the game is insiteful and superior to any former player commentator I've listened to. I'd be ecstatic to have him on our coaching panel. His understanding of the difference in game plans and his ability to communicate it is extremely impressive.

Great to see Roughy go out on a high:  kicked 4 goals already.

Teammates making sure he has a good game.  Like it.

I suppose Dew is not a Prik like Clarko when he flooded back and prevented Fevola from kicking 1 last goal to hit 100

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
