WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT

We need to look at this kid as a second round pick up. Exactly what we need

Kysaiah Kropinyeri Pickett WWT Eagles/South Australia | Small Forward
02/06/2001 | 170cm | 68kg

Arguably the most naturally gifted player in the draft, the nephew of Port Adelaide and North Melbourne premiership player Byron, is small in stature but big on X-factor and his ability to do the impossible. He is clean at ground level, has high-level goal sense, and despite being so lightly built, was able to force his way into the Woodville-West Torrens League side courtesy of a massive six-goal game against North Adelaide in the first round of the SANFL Reserves competition. Adds an extra dimension to the South Australian forward line and will be one that could light up the big stage over the next month.

Is he related to our own @picket fence?

Nah !   That would make him a nut job!

Now that I'd pay good money to see: Picket taking a speccie over picket fence!!!

Exactly Oli.

He knows how to rove a pack and be at the fall of the ball. That automatically puts him ahead of Spargo playing as that crumbing forward.

His uncle is my favourite footballer of all time, so gives him a big head start in my eyes.

When you say 2nd round, where abouts is he being projected to go pick-wise?

He can come and board with me and be seated on the RIGHT side of the Fence, get marvelous home cooked meals, be entertained with riveting stories of my great Footy and Cricket Career, and as an occasional treat visit Uncle Bitter at the Manor for even more entertainment!!!?

@Bitter but optimistic would frighten the bejeesus out of him. Go home factor will kick in after week 1. Who'd blame him!

But your sporting career story telling would ensure he gets plenty of sleep

Demonland: What kind of idiot does Taylor have to be to pick such a small player like Spargo in the second round

Also Demonland: Hey Taylor we should pick this player even smaller than Spargo in the second round

But in all seriousness, looks good, a punt on a kid with pure talent up forward is what we need

He certainly gets to the right spots.  We need a bit of X-factor and he certainly has it.  Anyone know what he is like going the other way?  Does he put on any tackling pressure, or does he need to work on his stamina?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
