Salem is surely fine on that contact right? He had the ball and was picking it up, when Macernernie cannoned into him head-first.

Macernernie is a fantastic young tall, and I'd kill to have him on our list.

You'd have to think so. They even said as much on Ch. 7.

If anything McInerney ran into Salem who was almost stationary at the moment of contact

Gawny's on deck! I repeat Gawn is back on deck!!!

Harmes' handball ..bloody hell

Oh no Viney. He looks unhappy. Please don’t be the foot!

Weideman needs to get involved!!

Guys, unable to watch - what happened with Max?

Deliberate Edinburgh kiss to Salems hip.

May and Frost are doing a great tag-team job on Charlie Cameron. They're good types for a job like that. Both more than match him in size and strength, and both are faster than you'd expect for men of their size.

Wow an correct incorrect disposal call.  Give that ump a medal!

Landed badly on his ankle. He’s back now.

Viney off now. Doesn’t look good.

Oh Gus the I have no idea where it will go handball.

This is one of those games where players go almost too recklessly for the ball, starting a chain reaction that causes a) injuries and b) mass confusion for all players. In my experience, it's the team that can bring themselves out of that chaos spiral that almost always wins games like this.

Midfield has been garbage. Backline saving our [censored].

Very worried about Viney. Came off looking upset. They looked at his foot and he made no attempt to do any run through or get any treatment. Not a good sign.

We have weathered every Brisbane tsunami thus far. Have we seen the best of Brisbane? I'm not sure. But we are playing a very good defensive game. That said we haven't had our 2019 Melbourne quarter yet. Here's hoping we skip it this week.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
