6+ changes would be catastrophic for any team.

Not as Catastrophic as our season so far Nup MUST ring at least 5 changes. I want blood, accountability and ACTION!

That's a fair comment. When he does get the ball he seems to use it well, except when he needs to kick long. But he doesn't get the ball enough and he doesn't seem to know how to defend. It's that last part of his game that needs serious improvement.

He butchered at least one easy i50 on Saturday too - it was a short pass and a very costly turnover

5 changes, some speed/endurance and forward pressure

Tim Smith,  hope he can take his chance this time

I hate to say it, but Smith has never demonstrated AFL qualities to me. I thought Keilty was ahead of him at Casey. Can anyone elaborate on what Smith has done in the 2s this year?

Frost the only tall defender vs Reiwoldt/Lynch?

T Mac will surely play as a defender tomorrow night.

Preuss had a jab to get through the St Kilda game. I would say the short break has meant he was not ready to go again. They are looking at the following week. Although, this is Melbourne, he could be 4-6 by the end of this evening

Much as I love all our boys, I think that these ins and outs show the lack of depth in our list right now. Although you cannot question his effort or commitment, I don’t think Stretch is quite up to it and Nibbler is certainly going to need to lift. Preuss out is a great shame and I’m not sure what the plan is for taking Reiwoldt and Lynch.

Hope I’m wrong, but I think this will be a shellacking.

Hopefully the additions of Lockhart and Garlett will solve the ground balls inside 50. Stretch and ANB need to be given simple tasks, run up and down all day and tackle. Don’t need their involvement on the  inside - sick of seeing all of our players sucked in to the contest.

Tmac goes back with T Smith replacing him, hopefully more mobile up forward.

I’m interested.

I like the changes, although it’s a pity Preuss and Jetta are injured.

Should be a few positional changes to compliment the personnel changes as well, the main one being TMac.

Thank god we bought Garlett and Lockhart in.    Now we have two guys who can crumb our bombs inside 50 instead of none.

Calling it now - we will win this,  ANB best on ground!

One thing that might help us is that Rich haven't worked out how to play effectively with two tall forwards.  The two big losses were with Lynch and Riewoldt in.  When Riewoldt went out they rediscovered their 'DNA' ie playing to one tall fwd.

Re Smith he was doing ok until this game last year when Rance jumped late (supposedly) for a mark and rammed his knee into Smith's back fracturing his ribs and puncturing his lung.  Shame Rance isn't playing but Smith can seek revenge by playing a top game for us.

Shuffling deck chairs.  Replacing fringe players with fringe players.

Tim Smith is a good candidate to take the Vandenberg role.  Hes a big unit likes to run through the midfield and throw his weight around.

Hard to get enthused about those ins but it's about the best we can do.

If Lewis is going to play then it has to be down back as the 7th quickest defender. So Josh Wagner makes way. Unlucky for Josh but he'll have a chance to earn his spot back and whilst my mind is made up that Lewis is done the coaches probably think he's worth another look I guess.

Hunt probably goes back to replace Jetta with more speed coming in to the forward line in Jeffy.

Stretch comes in on a wing in the spot vacated by Lewis going back, that's obvious. Lockhart as fresh legs for C Wagner. ANB for Spargo probably the only choice I didn't love but if there was ever a game to pick the fittest player on the list it's when both teams are coming off a 4 day break.

And I never liked Preuss and 2 big tall forwards who offer nothing defensively. Tim Smith makes a lot more sense as the 3rd option. Can chuck him in the ruck if needed or use Tom or Sam.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
