Assuming he’s not a late withdrawal, tip of the hat to T Daddy Mac on reaching 150 games - a game for each strand of hair he’s driven me to remove, but provided a lot of entertainment along the way.

Here’s hoping he puts in a good shift, because by god do we need one right now.

All the best Tommy ?

Yeah, coz we do milestone games so well................

( Not a shot t you P-man, we have been hopeless at milestone games for years)

Do you have some data to back that contention ding? Max's 100th wasn't a happy affair, but we were [censored] for quite a number of years so the milestone games have obviously been a bit skewed. What about since 2015?

Still, I'm hoping Tomald will play his 150th in Melbourne, for non-sentimental reasons.

Congratulations to him. He has been one of our shining lights through some dark years.

I doubt Goody would bother holding Pruess back on Sunday and taking him up if 'T'- Daddy was a goer.

Along with the strategy of chunk playing off one wing ? Goody has been rusted on bout Maxy going it alone for some reason since start of season so he aint taking Preuss up as 2nd ruck.

'T' - Daddy's 150th on his return...whenever that might be.  Hopefully against the 'Aints'.

Not only did the team not step up for Max's 100th, they did not step up for Viney's 100th a week later.  Very sad when a team can't step up for their vice-cap and co-cap (btw I don't necessarily mean to win but at least put in an honourable showing for 4 qtrs).

So this team's track record is not good in teamate's milestones (or special events eg Roos' last game).  Nonetheless, I hope they step up tonight and at the very least for Tom to get some mojo back.

He has stuck with us thru thick and thin so would really like to see him have a memorable game.

Great job T-Mac... Stuck it out through the dark years, deserves success here's hoping we are the club which can provide it for him.

Congrats T-Mac, hopping it's a good one to remember??

Do you only have one leg? Or do you mean his ankle is so bad that he’ll be hopping?

I think he should play it against StKilda.

He's been named in the team, however, they have Petty up there if he is a late withdrawal.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah, no data Skuit, i just have memories of losing most times we had a big milestone to "celebrate", but ofc it was down to the fact that our team was junk. Since 2015 would be very interesting tbh. 100/150 game milestones are the main ones.. (50 games ones arent that important imo)

With the short break between games... I would rest him,  because that ankle roll is not his only foot issue,  I am sure.  He has been putrid all season.

Time to rest him, to get his body right, before he plays again...  miss this game, and he has had about 2 weeks to ease and sort his feet.

Why keep on injecting him when half out team is out.  We will end up with a  merry-go-round  in the injury room.   One in one out...  all season.

Yer having dyslexia means i stuff up a lot with reading, writing, oh and of course spelling.

But you have a nice day

Good luck Tommy and thanks for your 150  games of honest and brilliant footy.

Lets win tonight and kick start the season and out fear into our opposition.

It just occurred to me this crop wouldn't have had all that much practice playing in big milestone games. I recall Watts had a 150th with us before he departed - and a complete stinker if I remember correctly. Maybe Port Adelaide at the MCG after the bye in 2017 where he dropped marks and squibbed from the outset? Melksham and Garlett a couple others. Jones and Lewis.

I was going to say, we always stuff them up.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
