Thanks DLand that is a great read.

Was steak knives in the Hogan/May trade, but if he stays fit I think he’ll prove to be a really valuable player for us. We are crying out for highly skilled running types like him, so hopefully he can realize his potential and become the player he promised to be early in his career. Second in the BnF ahead of May, Lynch, Dixon, Martin etc shows the talent and output was there. I’d love him to settle on a wing, but think he may replace Lewis at halfback.

All the best to KK for his first game and beyond in red and blue!

Great read. Good on ya Kade, all the best tomorrow - I have very high hopes!!

Good luck to him.... Really hoping he reaches his potential

Good luck Kade...you finally got here.

Really hope he can become a great player for the MFC!  Gotta feel for these kids who have the talent to make it, but who then struggle to get on the park due to protracted periods of injury and/or illness!  Just hope his bad patch is now well & truly behind him.

(Kinda nice touch that his first game with us will see him on the same ground as his brother!)

I'd argue, that was the media's perspective (and perhaps some supporters) ...there is no way this FD would waste a spot on dead wood (JKH excluded :( )

HaHa, and with May.  Lets hope we all can get a win for one another.

Good story.  Does he wear a helmet?

Two Ks, JK & KK, playing tomorrow.  Hate to be calling the play when they're both on the ground!

Is he Jewish,  'RN' ?

what did people think of his first game ?

I was a bit underwhelmed to be honest. Thought he was an outside player ? but seemed to lack pace to me. and intensity.

Like most, looks like a guy who's just underdone. Lack of pace was very evident & physically he looks very weak / undeveloped.

These first 4 to 6 weeks will be very slow guys. Already looking forward to the second half of the season... got a feeling we'll hit the back half hard!

??

Took particular interest in this part of the article prior to the game and my immediate thought was why is he playing this week? I'll reserve judgment for now but wasn't much to get excited about from the weekends performance.

' I was kept out of the team in round one, 2016, but managed to convince the coaching staff to clear me for a return the following week.

In hindsight, I probably rushed myself back too early and could have done with a few more weeks in the NEAFL to help me build my match fitness and conditioning, as well as my confidence as I still wasn’t playing to the standard I knew I was capable of.'

well I actually hope that's the case here, as he looked slow and underdone.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
