Sounds like the perfect summer to me.

1. Refurbished one of my eskys to make it much more efficient

2. Learnt how to play Finska and had a lot of fun and beers playing it.

3. Booked our honeymoon to Greece for later in the year, and then later realised it's during the freaking finals. Fmd how could I stuff that up!!!

1. Spent two weeks in Taiwan and, among other things, did a presentation about Australia to a bunch of kids studying English in a public high school

2. Drove from Sydney to Melbourne via the coastal route down the Princes Highway and spent a couple of weeks catching up with friends.

3. Took my son to Tokyo for a couple of weeks and wandered around taking photographs and eating.

Uncle @Bitter but optimistic I'm sure you could show these normies a thing or two on how to spend an off season.

1) Ran a full marathon (in October) and a half last week

2) Read both the Great Gatsby and the Brothers Karamazov

3) Started a biological course offered by MIT which I had to drop out from due to work

Overall, despite the numerous engagements and holidays overseas, the births of children and dabbles into viewing other sports..

.. we’ve all terribly missed the mighty dees!!!

Watched   highlight  of MFC  replays of the finals and  H&H winning games and bagged the umpires for ripping     us off.

 2. Demonland  to keep me sane. Sometimes sane.

 3.  Curse the  **@#**#*  hot weather!

Is it Saturday 23rd of March yet ?

1. Welcomed a beautiful baby girl (our first) into the world.
(Seems there might have been a few new additions for Demonlanders over the pre/post season?)

2. Avoided work at all costs and managed to get away with it (so far).

3. Made a real effort but struggled to enjoy the cricket this Summer.

Woke up.

Watched Snooker.

Made love.

Went to sleep.      One is a lie

1 Travelled through Europe with the family

2 Visited plenty of breweries much to the kids chagrin

3 Found the five kilos I lost last year...plus a few more

Tricky one but I’m pretty sure people who watch snooker don’t get laid. So I reckon you didn’t watch snooker.

Advice from here on in: relax and enjoy, these are the good times. It's all downhill from here......

Membership should go through the roof with all these babies being born!

very impressed that you all timed it so well for the births to be in the off season. Can only imagine the logistics involved!

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.
