Came across from Oakleigh 'Diamond', a little like Fritsch and co, he had to rack up the numbers at VFA (now VFL) level to get noticed.

My recollection was that Dyson certainly had some wepons, but would not have been among our best onballers at the time.  One of those players that was almost but not quite a gun.

Powell was a very good asset and very reliable - we certainly did miss his presence.
