Tomorrow's session, if last year's was an example, being the last session before the Xmas break, the players will be put through a couple of hours of hell

Should be fun to watch

.... he's still putting icing on the gingerbread house. He'll be fine!

As Saty mentioned today is the last training session before the Christmas/New Years Break. We'd love any reports from Demonlanders attending.

Loving this combo already even though they haven’t played one game together. How about some nickname suggestions for it before the training reports come in?

How about Prawn?

.... it's a heck of a lot of Prawn!

Just love the entertaining banter that seems to be developing between the players with Pruesse - particularly with Maxxy - and with DL advocates about his promising presence at the Club. Superb support for this potentially great young player at the MFC. He is already moving into legendary status, without even having a kick on game day! Golly, North must be pithed.

Tough training or a love-in?

It is concerning that he is absent from full training - although over time he has had his issues - and although there is still plenty of pre-season time to have him ready for the coming season it is a concern that he may be behind his peers in that readiness for hard training that will be required. This young fella is shaping (based on his returns to play last season) up to be a considerable star for the MFC and possibly, exhibit a whole new dimension to his game and that of the team; a key focus for all supporter interests in what is really just around the corner, provided that readiness is uninterrupted.

Might wanna stick to your day job, Andy...!  LOL

Doing some match simulation stuff. About 20 on field. About 6 off the bench. Shortened oval with no real tackling or goal kicking. Seems more about running, decision making and ball movement. Of the 26 l counted roughly 8 that would be in our starting 22 which includes May. Doing circuit activities now eg weights, ropes, sprints, bags, short kicking, excercises etc. Looks like fun actually. Good energy around the group. Numbers training are a continuing concern though. 22 mfc staff ?

I noticed a lot of red shirts (staff) on the track the day I was there too.

I only made it down for about 20 minutes as I have somewhere to be. For about 15 minutes of that time I got distracted and played with a Labrador puppy. Said G’day to Maxy, he said G’day back.

The players look much bigger up close, ANB is a sensational runner.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
