I realise that, but he's got an extensive history of breaking down.

Jesse could go on for the rest of his career injury free, and good luck to him (personally) if he does.  But I have my doubts.

Wouldn't say it's extensive history... but he plays a style of game that is high intensity and high impact, but he will play a different game at the dockers than with us I think. Freo will not want him to roam as far from goal, so maybe that changes!

6 or 11 is relevant given the possibility of the earlier pick being traded into more picks or players than 11 could. Whether that happens is another thing.

I think discussion is between 11 or 23. 6 is a given.

So how many of the media experts actually got the specifics of that trade correct?

To be fair, they did get the bones right.... They never get the all the facts, they only get tid bits

So his goal returns will fall - as he has to go upfield to get the ball.

If he wants to get a kick at Fremantle he'll have to play at full back.

Yep, they get bits and pieces only, similar to the Hogan trade. We still are no closer to knowing the full deal.

It's these bits and pieces that will determine if the Hogan deal is fair or not however!

Seriously how can the Dockers get more for Neale that we do for Hogan FFS

Depends how their picks work out.  What if they want in two years time, or turn into average players?  What is May and KK are part of a premiership side in the next few seasons?

I'll hold off before saying Freo got 'more' for Neale than we did for Hogan.  Too subjective.

If it's Hogan for 6 and 19 then that's two 1st round picks.  That's what we asked for.  Hard to mount an argument that we have taken significant unders.

They no longer have 19. It has to be 6 and 23 now.

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
