Perhaps Peter Bell is 'the real victim here'... having watched too many episodes of Suits and/or the movie Draft Day - doesn't understand that they're fictional.

Haha Bell is totally Lewis Litt from season 1.

Such a chump who no body in the office likes.

The above, and -  if Jessie's not looking at a premiership (if he was then the least disruptive course would be to sign-on for longer with us) and instead a fresh start after a personally hellish few years, then the anonymity that comes with Queensland footy could hold the answer.

Both Brisbane and Gold Coast are well placed to provide potentially satisfying trades from the MFC's perspective.

Which would put paid to the wanna go home reasoning.

Similarities with Mitch ? who desperately wanted Perththen was lured my Melbourne $$$, broke his foot and headed off to another suitor.

On SEN this morning Watson said that Freo don't want to make the same mistake they made with Bennell. Hmm interesting comment!!!!!!

Has Jesse got issues with his calves? Because to be fair, that was the primary issue that sent Bennell away from focusing on his footy.

Melbourne and Fremantle have chatted today. And Fremantle and Jesse are still in contact.

And what would that discussion be I wonder? We still want you Jesse but we don't want to pay the big bad east coast side what you are worth because I am short and I have to make up for my inadequacies by showing how tough I am and smart too, but it's not about how fantastic & tough I am it's all about you Joffa sorry what was your name again?

And just when we get this thread back on track, you introduce the meat industry!

He thinks he is Sonny Weaver Jr but is more likely to end up Jeff Carson.

I'm a bit confused about all the wrist slashing.

Option One:  We trade Hogan to our advantage (as determined by the FD)

Option Two:  We keep Jesse who is an elite talent.

What's the problem?

whats the problem?

quite simple....we wouldn't have him for very long before it all goes deja vu

A lot of people have made some very stupid comments here on this thread and they should be held to account! Next Wednesday night blame will be apportioned, those like me who were right all along will be vindicated. Those who made the wrong call get to choose between the Ricky Nixon or Peter Bell avatar for life. I think the blame apportioning should be carried out by committee and expect it could run for a week or two.

I've given up with draft theories, pick swapping, home sicknesses and the like.

This is exactly how the AFL want draft week to play out, so the public continues to talk about football instead of Cricket, Soccer, Basketball etc.

This all should have been completed within a week.

There was a time a man's word was sufficient , or a handshake.

Today CONTRACTS are hardly worth the paper. No one's going to get excited about a nod here...or there.

Yes, and all dignity and morality means absolutely nothing if an improved dollar outcome is chased - whether received or just missed.

As that was one of the stupidest comments on the thread, special robert, does that mean you are volunteering for the aforementioned avatars as a form of sanction? Bezel and I would be happy to so apportion.

I can't be stuffed going through all the pages - last I heard Freo had released a statement saying they weren't pursuing this anymore? Am I missing something?

No, you’re on the money Mondè.

Hogan will be at Melbourne for another 12 months. May won’t be coming.

Freo aren’t giving us pick 5 for Hogan even if they do send Neale to Brisbane.

All the trade permutations posters on here are rambling on with will be for nought.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
