Does that make us the Rebels and Eddie Darth Vader?

Yes. Yes it does.

And we all know it was the Ewoks who overcame the Stormtroopers in the end.

1. As they say, there can be only one loser in football.

2. Having said that, Richmond cheated by system, byes and fourteen days breaks are a penalty on the top team.

Saw a couple of photos from mates and MCC had ~3000 empty in the top deck

There was so much hype about it filling up and being a lock-out that I reckon a lot of people were scared off.

If we make it next week though...

Apparently according to MMM

I was listening to it on the radio and it’s what they said was happening.

Collingwood have been very impressive. Cox scares me. I just can’t see how we stop him. He destroyed us last time we played them too.

Expect that from MMM.

You need  to pressure mids and effect delivery and then you actually need someone to go up with him. Neither happened tonight.

One game in the last 28 days. Interesting how flat they looked against a team coming off a six day break.

Worse, they get 8 sleeps to recover before the GF.

I'll take your word for it, as an apparent expert Cox wrangler

Nah, just the one between my legs. Sorry if you can't relate.

Forget just current day. He’s one of the most overrated players of all time.

Are you guys serious? Rance is a great, he just had a bad night.

Tell me you wouldn’t have him in our side.

So, the old enemy awaits!  We just gotta get it done tomorrow!!

Tell them how it is done, Bazz.   Nev up to kick the winning goal deep into time on Q4?

I must say I did consider going (MCC) but couldn’t go early and didn’t relish the thought of standing all night.   Over hyped.

And the winner tomorrow only really gets 6 given the need to travel. Not well planned, Gill.

I’m no Collingwood fan but I have to say I loved that. The Richmond fawning all year has been spew worthy. Seeing them trudge off was the best thing ever.

Agree Nasher.

The pre-finals bye will be looked at, but Richmond's last month going into the finals wasn't great.

3 point win over Geelong, 8 point win over Essendon and a 3 point win over the Dogs (which they should have lost), around a thrashing of GC.

He's good, not great, and he had an appalling night. For someone of his ability, that wasn't good enough.

The result didn't surprise me tonight.

Despite denials by a few on here Collingwood are a good team and started to show it towards the end of last year.

The Tiges have had a good run without a true forward structure and it caught them out.

They're a good unit but if their champs don't fire they're in trouble.

Reiwoldt was the only one to fire a shot tonight, the house of cards crumbled.

There is a reason they went all out to get Lynch, it's the same reason we should keep Hogan.

As much a the game changes, tall forwards who kick goals are worth their weight in gold.

Always have been, always will be...

Great to see Storm into another GF....

He seems to have a lot of “bad nights” for a supposed great. Lost count of the number of times he gets exposed 1v1.

He’s a good player sure but the bloke isn’t fit to clean Scarlett’s boots. Annoys me when he gets placed in the same conversation.

I wrote on Demonland after the Bulldog match that the Tigers are beatable. That's why I would have preferred to play them should we win tomorrow. Collingwood are the smokey fairy tale story of 2018. The Dees have stolen the fairy tale so far and long may it continue but after tonight I rate Collingwood.

I reckon that's unfair.

We haven't played yet and we still have more wins against top 8 sides so far this season than Collingwood does.

They got into the finals on the back of a draw which gave them 14 games against the bottom 10.

Full credit to them for making a Grand Final with the injuries they've had, but going the "well I always said they were good" route is unfair when the criticism of them was completely warranted given their record.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
