Media: Melbourne struggle against top 8 teams.

Melbourne: Hold my beer.

Edited by Ethan Tremblay

So bloody proud of the boys. Weekend can only get better if Colliwobbles appear again and they go out in straight sets! About to watch replay

Anyone considered a possible repeat of 64? Dees and pies? So proud of the boys last night. No voice left today.

In losing last night, Hawthorn becomes the first club in the current top-eight era to go out of the AFLFinals in straight sets twice . They are now 0-4 in finals since the 2015 flag.

Did we get the rub of the green with the umpiring?

I thought it was pretty even.

Not even close. I thought we got the obvious ones where we were impeded, and didn't get the obvious throws and HTB. Lewis is generally pretty fiery but he went off his tree at Nicolls for that non-decision against Roughy

For the first time in 20 odd years, I might throw Murdoch a couple of bucks to get his paper...

I thought even too. Pretty bad lack of recognition on this board for a decent negating effort by the Hawks for a good amount of time and executed their skillful possession game well. Took away our strengths and had their chances to make it tight. We obviously are a class above in pressure and took our chances. But no, UmPiReS TrIed tO WiN tHe GaMe foR thE HaWkS

Yeah a member so that’s good news, telling my bride I am contemplating dropping over a grand on flights my not be though.

Tell her you’ll drive over to save $. Then after a suitable amount of time allegedly “doing some research” come back to her solemnly and declare that you have figured out it would be cheaper to fly and takes less time which gives you time to take her out to dinner and a movie and give her foot massage. Problem solved!!!

If anyone else has any problems they need solving I will be here all week ?

Wet Toast will be a tough gig

Darling and Kennedy will be playing this time

I think our defence has gone up a level on that round 22 match too. But yes a massive effort required and a little bit of luck our way and we can match it with them and win. I'm less impressed with their footy IQ than I am with hawthorns, so I don't think they can negate our game style and we'll have a bit of a high quality shootout again.

Kennedy looked pretty off the pace most of the game last week. Dont forget he was playing on a bloke who was coming in for his first game of the year in a miracle recovery. Frosty will be a much tougher opponent.

Darling hardly set the world on fire last week and Collingwood have no key defenders.

Huge shoutout to our defence. Hawthorn were on top at times but we never coughed up a run of goals like we would have earlier in the year.

Hibberd is so important back there. Frost and OMac have grown. Jetta is a rock. And Lewis is playing his best footy he has played for us in the last 2 weeks.

Tommy Mac always been a good player, now elite. If Jetta was unlucky for AA so was this bloke.

Anyone think the pre match stuff presented by Hawthorn was utter crap?

The compere’s performance  was very ordinary compared with Robbo’s class.
