Same, and I totally agree!

The team has been building to this moment, and I think the message will be sent from the very first second. The cats won't know what hit them, but they'll have plenty of time to think about it on the plane home!

Is that what PT call the trains to Geebung. Hopefully the passengers wish it was a plane to get home even quicker after Melbourne give then a good beating.

I've had such an insane work week I haven't stopped to really think about the game... until the last few hours. And now it's hitting me and I'm nervous as hell!

I agree with Murphy, I think this game will be a smashing one way or another. I hope it is us smashing them!

I'm feeling quite comfortable about the result. These guys are on a mission for payback for earlier this season. My win/loss feelings have been quite accurate this year. Enjoy the night with the majority of the crowd supporting the dees.

Love to wipe the smirk of that [censored] Chris Scott’s face.

A close friend is related to him and I have had to shut my mouth with her this week. Win tomorrow and I'm sure I will forget myself. She's cool - I hope.

" Blow them away"  was Bob's final summary of what the MFC will do tomorrow night  and Whately reluctingly agreed that the game would be over well before the final siren.

Just realized Razor Ray is umpiring, hope the boys keep their discipline with this clown umpiring.

Another soft ride for Angus coming up?

What I'm looking forward to is ... who is our new finals hero? Or heroes. Who will rise to the occasion? Who will make a name for themselves as a "finals performer"? Tracc? J Smith? Nev? Jones? Hoping for a bit of a smokey.

Harmes and my favourite Trac.

I'm sure Razor Ray will look after his new "bestie" Angus Brayshaw.

Pumped for Tyson, super excited for Viney, and disappointed for JKH ... he’s done alot right, and should keep his chin up

Thanks but it seems strange - normally I get a text or it is on Twitter.

Smart and sensible changes.

It's a strong side and one that can put the Cats to sleep for 2018 if we choose to.

Can't wait for tomorrow night!

Minus Hogan , strongest team this year, let's bash the ol handbaggers up. Lewis don't get reported.

On the plane tomorrow can't wait. Go Dees

Good changes, but geez you gotta feel for JKH He hasn’t done a lot wrong, hope he keeps his chin up and supports the boys and hopefully he gets another chance or a flag with Casey

Agree. Yeah, I haven't been a fan generally, but he's done a couple of nice things here and there, but the reality is that Hannan is more likely to hit the scoreboard. JKH has some work to do, but can have a solid crack at it in 2019, especially with a few more games this year.

Perfect changes, LETS GET IT ON!

Absolutely. There's a lot of hype right now (probably a scary amount), but the reality is that the stage is set. We've got everything we need. The boys believe. We believe.

This feels right!!!

Really disappointed for JKH

But a solid team at the pointy end of the season

I agree GYM, but I reckon that's our best available team. Yeah, it's a very tough call on JKH, but that's what happens when you have a list that runs deeper than what we have become used to at Melbourne.  On a positive note for Jay, I reckon he has earned himself a new contract beyond 2018, where that seemed unlikely a couple of months ago.  Good on him!

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
